With footage on the camera I needed to open the USB door to get to the 256 gb memory card our or plug in my USB C cable. I contacted Insta360 Support for advice. They told me to either send it to their repair facilities in Hong Kong or US office. Or I can try using a pin to slowly pry the edges of the door to pop it open. I needed the footage so i used the pin, and it worked! I was able to get the door open. I believe the gasket or usb door tether got stuck with the door lock.

I bought my new Insta360 ONE R – TWIN EDITION ( https://amzn.to/3jGcKt5 ) a month ago and the door is now stuck with my 256 GB micro SD card . For more Youtube vlogging equipment check out. How to repair broken GROMMETS for tents, canvas, bags…

My canvas tent grommets broke off. I bought a General Tools Grommet kit ( https://amzn.to/36RU5qH ) for about $13 with 3/8 and 1/2 inch grommets. Typically tents, bags, and clothing have jackets have grommets for running strings or bungee cords. After a few years grommet tear the fabric and you will need to repair the broken grommet with a larger one. Getting a grommet set kit you can quickly replace it in minutes.

For larger projects of many grommets you should find a larger bulk grommet kit ( https://amzn.to/2GLSzfl )to save money. To change out a grommet you need to cut a larger hole into the fabric with the punch, wood base, and hammer or mallet. Then use the anvil and sandwich the fabric between a new grommet and top, Use the press and hammer to crimp the new grommet.
