DIY 2003-2007 Honda Accord Oil Change and Maintenance

I change out my 2007 Accord oil and filter every time the Maintenance Minder says Oil life is down to 5% or less. Or when the Service A1 or B1 lights up. My 2007 Honda Accord has about 153,000 miles so i have been doing this dozens of times…

I use 5-20w oil ( https://amzn.to/2Divj4t ) and oem denso oil filter – DENSO 1502006 ( https://amzn.to/2z8LzSB ) , and a new aluminum drain plug washer ( https://amzn.to/2z8ZAQb )  every oil change.  Jar opener ( https://amzn.to/2B42GXg ).  Rhino Ramps:  https://amzn.to/2B6243j

DIY: Making your oil filter – FILTER MORE! with magnets!

After changing my oil, I add high powered magnets on my oil filter.
Using small high powered magnets ( https://amzn.to/2MHMHRp ) I can probably trap ferrous metallic engine dust in on my car’s oil filter, so every time I change my oil filter it will also remove any ferrous slit or dust. Its like those devices that would see on those commercial on TV or you can think of it similar to those drain plug magnets they sell at the auto parts store…except you have much more surface area. . Not sure how effective this is but it simple and not permanent and it only costs about $5-10 in neodymium magnets ( https://amzn.to/2MHMHRp ) .
