HOW TO: Artificial Grass my PORCH!

With summer here, I wanted to clean up and get my porch and patio ready for guests! I wanted to convert my porch into a cooler greener hang out spot, so I got artificial grass ( https://amzn.to/3GWDItg). I used my Cordless Portable Pressure Washer ( https://amzn.to/3NlJ2Zs ) for cleaning my patio and porch.

My concrete patio looks grey. I been wanting to make it more green.
In fact I wanted artificial grass to make it look like a lawn patio. I got a 8x 5 ft roll of fake grass ( https://amzn.to/3GWDItg). If its easy to install I may just replace my front lawn with artificial grass to I don’t need to water or maintain the grass.

PROS:
Looks like real grass with yellowing under coat
Need to see if it unflattens to 1.5 inches tall

CONS
Sparse drainage holes

Overall artificial grass ( https://amzn.to/3GWDItg) is a good fast solution to cover a patio, put a lawn on an event space, or maybe DIY lawn for water savings and less maintenance costs.

REVIEW: Expanding Garden Hose 75ft & Brass 3/4″ Quick Connector!

I really really love this light weight convenient 75ft expanding garden hose ( https://amzn.to/3vi1zxS ) along with a Brass 3/4″ quick connector ( https://amzn.to/3McKbB1 ) For years I have been using my heavy rigid garden hoses, which made me hate going out to water the plants and wash my car. This expandable garden hose is very easy to handle and can be put away very fast. No more reeling in heavy hoses!

This one is a 75 ft expanding garden hose ( https://amzn.to/3vi1zxS ) that can fit inside a small planter when not in use, or it can be stored in a bag. For people who have a condo and limited space this is good.

PROS:
Easy to handle and store.
Very long length – really compact when expanded or contracted.
Complete package has nozzle.
Shut off valve makes it easy to drain to contract and store.
No hose reel needed, just store in a small planter, container, or bag.

CONS:
-Light duty perfect for home use. Not sure how long it will last compared to heavy duty commercial grade hoses.
-Rubber hose protecting rubber shield slides off from time to time.
-Fiber housing may pickup dirt and get dirty – need to hose off before storage.

Overall, I will be using this 75 ft expanding garden hose ( https://amzn.to/3vi1zxS ) daily for gardening and around the home, as it is faster, flexible, and more convenient for 90% of all the outside water hose needs. Definitely good for folks who have trouble with lifting or handling heavy garden hoses. Its also very space saving.

How To: SEWING TIP – Brother CS7000i REVERSE DRIVE – Making SLEEVE BAGS from OLD T-SHIRTS!

We are going to make sleeve bags using old t-shirts and my Brother CS7000i Sewing Machine (https://amzn.to/3E7TWfQ ). My mom shows a sewing tip to add width and a crest to the bags with the REVERSE DRIVE function on the Brother Sewing Machine.

The technique is to sew a diagonal crest along the corner of the bag so it causes a width for the base of the bag. She uses the Brother CS7000i Sewing Machine (https://amzn.to/3E7TWfQ ) reverse drive function to double stitch the line, which saves tine and thread.

I really love my Brother CS7000i Sewing Machine (https://amzn.to/3E7TWfQ ). I use it much more than my Singer 4322 Heavy Duty Sewing Machine ( https://amzn.to/3C8Xjmw ) which we use for heavy materials. This Brother has a special “J” sewing feet for thicker material, it is very convenient to swap to do smaller and more delicate sewing projects with the Brother CS7000i
