How to clean shower stall in 10 minutes the EASY WAY without much scrubbing.

Living with room mates and sharing a shower stall, we take turns to clean the bathroom every other week. Sometimes longer. I found a fast low effort way of cleaning my shower stall using use Lime Away Gel ( https://amzn.to/2VROE49 ), car wind shield sponge brush (https://amzn.to/3aAnqEi ), and a commercial grade toilet bowl brush ( https://amzn.to/2xU5KGC) . Over the past 10 years i have been living in Los Angeles with very hard water. Grime and mildew builds up on the hard water calcium buildup. When its my turn to clean the plastic shower stall and bathroom, I use Lime Away Gel ( https://amzn.to/2VROE49 ) to melt the calcium and grime, lightly brush, then rinse all the dirt and grime off with hot water. The whole process takes less than 10 minutes and is effortless.

Safety first: Wear eye and skin protection. I use my $5 safety glasses ( https://amzn.to/3axp5e6 ) to protect my eyes from any chemical splashes. I would also use dish washing gloves https://amzn.to/3cHNBdL for skin and hand protection.
DO NOT LEAVE Lime A WAY GEL on metal or chrome surfaces, it will stain the chrome. Wipe on and rinse off within 2 minutes.

The brushes i always use are the Rubbermaid Commercial toilet brush:
https://amzn.to/2xU5KGC which costs about $5-7 dollars but has lasted over 9 years now. The sole purpose of this one brush is for shower stall cleaning only. Its put away after every use. This commercial brush is not only heavy duty brushes, moreover it has a long handle for better reach with out stooping on my knees to clean the shower. The main purpose of this brush is to apply the gel to hard to reach nooks and crevices. And for the final scrub overall.
I keep a separate better looking stainless steel toilet brush ( https://amzn.to/2S2v1Ff )for toilet cleaning and aesthetics.

The second brush is a car windshield brush (https://amzn.to/3aAnqEi ). Its durable and has lasted for over 7 years in my bathroom brush tools. The main purpose is to apply a film of the gel onto the large surfaces of the stall quickly.

I apply the lime away gel onto a slightly wet brush and apply directly on the flat shower walls. Then i use the commercial grade toilet brush to apply and scrub the crevices.
DO NOT LEAVE Lime A WAY GEL on metal or chrome surfaces, it will stain the chrome. Wipe on and rinse off within 2 minutes.

I apply gel to the floor of the shower last, and as i apply i start scrubbing the heavy stains and grime on the floor. By this time 6-8 minutes would have passed and it would be time scrub the any nooks quickly as most of the calcium has been softened. 80-90% of the grime and stains should come off. Using HOT water, rinse from the top to the bottom and most of the dirt, grime, calcium , and stains will pretty much wash away.

My Nerf Mod: Nerf Rival Altas XVI-1200 Blaster – Double to Single Shot Mod.

This is my first Nerf Mod video on how i converted my Altas XVI-1200 Blaster ( https://amzn.to/3bNuiPS ) from a double shot to a single shot. I got the Nerf Altas XVI-1200 Blaster for about $20. Btw, my Youtube vlogs and reviews may also have associated affiliate links to products that may earn from qualifying purchases.

Why modify from double shot to single shot? (I was bored 🙂
Velocity:

Overall its a fun well built Nerf foam blaster that shoots two foam balls at 80 feet per second. I believe it shoots faster with a single foam ball. I tested it with a indoor Chronograph tool ( https://amzn.to/2UFjIEH ). At single shot it travels at velocities of 80-96 feet per second.

Capacity:
The blaster comes with a 12 foam ball magazine, however the Atlas loads 2 balls in every shot. Meaning you have about 6 shots from a full magazine. If your playing with friends you may be at a disadvantage and will have to bring a second clip. To maximize the magazine and reload interval switching to single shot solves this issue. Other Nerf Rivals blasters ( https://amzn.to/3bNws1L ) have high capacity and speed without the need of mods.

Modifying my Nerf Altas XVI-1200:

If you do anything with your own property, you do so at your own risk. This modification may damage or break your blaster or may cause injury. With all projects using tools, I wear personal protection to avoid injury and am careful of following safety precautions with the tools I work with.
Again : This is for viewing entertainment – If you do anything with your own property, you do so at your own risk.

The video shows how i did it on my personal blaster – enjoy the video and journey.

DIY – How to Lower Room Noise while Working from Home.

Whether you are recording a narration or youtubing, or just trying to lower the room noise. This is how I started making my room more sound proof so i can get some silence. Working from home has all the noise from my roommates or from outdoors traffic. I either have to record a night or sound proof my room. Full parts list below. Btw, my Youtube vlogs and reviews may also have associated affiliate links to products that may earn from qualifying purchases.

Here is a parts list of the stuff I used in this video:
Black Out, Thermal Insulation ,Sound Insulation Curtains: https://amzn.to/39cWWIy

Acoustic Foam Panel Wedge Studio Soundproofing Wall Tiles: https://amzn.to/2UGsdhV

Convoluted Foam Bed Pad Mattress Topper 4 INCH: https://amzn.to/2xgRRS6

Coroplast sheets 24 x 36: https://amzn.to/2UckYyQ

Hot Glue Gun Full Size: https://amzn.to/3aeMUrM

3M Command Picture Hanging Strips: https://amzn.to/33BCVKq

Velcro: https://amzn.to/39cx67x

Microfiber towels: https://amzn.to/399Ther

H1N Zoom Audio Recorder / Microphone:
https://amzn.to/3deRcB8

H1N Deadcat Furry outdoor windshield: https://amzn.to/33Fe600

I started adding blackout sound insulation curtains ( https://amzn.to/39cWWIy ) and book shelves to increase wall space and density. I then added 4 inch Convoluted foam ( https://amzn.to/2xgRRS6 ) to absorb the sound from both sides of the thin interior doors and walls. This lowered much of the noise and talking from the adjacent room.

I could have used professional Acoustic foam panels ( https://amzn.to/2UGsdhV ) but those the cost was higher than to cut a foam mattress topper. I also wanted it to be on boards so i can remove them if necessary to use on the table or another room. 3M Command stripes( https://amzn.to/33BCVKq) are safer for temporary mounting without leaving adhesive residue. Using Velcro or spray adhesive will leave adhesive.

Instructions:

  1. Cut the Convoluted Foam Bed Pad Mattress Topper into 24 inches to match the Coroplast boards. 2. Use the hot glue gun to adhere the foam to the plastic boards.
  2. Follow the 3M Command Picture hanging strips instructions.
  3. Use alcohol and microfiber to clean the board and the wall or door you plan to attach to.
  4. Add the adhesive strips on the frame and mount to door or wall.
  5. Add blackout and sound isolation curtains to further deaden the sound in the room.
