Costco has Battery Tender – Battery 6/12 volt Charger / Maintainer 3A for $27!!! Different varieties of Battery Tenders are sold online: https://amzn.to/2MKTb3c .
I typically either disconnect my car battery on the cars i dont drive very often. however with more cars relying on power door locks and hidden driver keys. It may be easier to just keep the car battery charged every 2 weeks of none use.
I use these to keep my other cars which are parked for a long period of time. For my Honda Accord and Dodge Cargo Van, I connect the leave the 3 amp Battery Tender on over the weekend and swap cars every week. This keeps the cars 12 volt battery from failing and the cars are ready to drive if needed.

Small consumer Uninterruptible Power Supplies (UPS) are sometimes user serviceable. For my UPS’s I replace the battery every 3-5 years. My UPS will start beeping and alerting that the ” battery is low” or will not hold charge. Replacing the battery saves me from buying a new unit every 3 years. Basically buying a $18 battery versus paying $60 to $80 for a new UPS.
But the newer UPS has many new features and functions. For basic models it may be more cost more for the replacement battery than to buy a new unit. Some UPS costs about $30 to $50 ( https://amzn.to/2Rxa46j ) which is nearly the same cost buying a replacement battery would cost $20 to $25 dollars. If your UPS failed in less than 2 years, it may be a bad design or failing electronics, so buying a new one would be a better choice if you can afford to.
I list out the simple instructions on the video. Disclaimer : Do this at your own risk. This is how I do mine. Your UPS may be different or non-service able. In which case you should have it professionally repaired, serviced, or disposed of.
Basic Steps: 1. The battery goes bad every 3-5 years and will start alerting that it can not hold charge. 2. Check if the UPS is serviceable by the consumer. Search the internet on the UPS model and if its worth it to repair or replace. If not bring it to a professional service or recycle and buy a new one. 3. Unplug and turn off UPS. 4. If serviceable – the battery bay is usually accessible. Open the cover and slide the old battery out. 5. Confirm the battery model and type. Buy a new replacement battery. 6. After the new battery arrives, check if the batteries size and model match exactly. 7. Remove the original battery and disconnect the negative (black) wire from the battery terminal. ( You should cover the battery terminal with electric tape to prevent short). 8. Disconnect the Positive (Red) cable from the battery terminal. ( You should cover the battery terminal with electric tape to prevent short).
Install the new battery. 9. Make sure the UPS unplugged and power off. 10. Remove the terminal cover off Positive (Red) terminal of the new battery and replace with the UPS Positive (Red) cable. 11. Remove the terminal cover off Negative (Black) terminal of the new battery and replace with the UPS Negative (Black) cable. 12. Slide new battery back into UPS and close cover. 13. Follow the original instructions from the UPS to plugin and power on the unit. 14. The unit my take a few minutes to test itself and check the battery. It may take a few hours to fully charge the new battery. 15. Observe the UPS in the next few hours and days to make sure the battery and UPS is operational. 16. Recycle the old battery according to your local laws and recycling locations. 17. Done!

Just a quick comparison between Gamma Lid ($7) vs Food Grade ($5) and Easy Soft ($2) lids for 5 Gallon Pet Food Storage ideas. I just got a some Gamma lids ( https://amzn.to/2C1uDOF ) to replace one of my older Soft 5 Gallon Lids ( https://amzn.to/2SG1Vdo ) and my food grade 5 gallon lids with spouts ( https://amzn.to/2SzNBTn ) .
Overall I like the convenience of the $2 flexible lids over the Gamma and Food grade lids for pet food as it is easy to open to feed the animals. They may only last about 2 years and may not be as durable as the other lids, but they are very easy to handle daily.
The Gamma lids are awesome and are air tight for pet food. The minor issue would be the chance of over tightening the screw top, making it difficult to open. It is a lower price alternative than a dedicated pet food bin with Gamma lids which range from $25- $40 dollars : https://amzn.to/2LTTmJo . With the Gamma lids I don’t see how these are removable after installing on a 5 gallon bucket. I fear using a bucket tool ( https://amzn.to/2Rto94X ) may break the thin lid walls during removal.
The food grade commercial lids with spouts that came with my food grade buckets ( https://amzn.to/2SzNBTn ) . Need a bucket lid tool ( https://amzn.to/2Rto94X ) to open every time. IT is pretty easy to open with the tool, maybe easier to open than the Gamma lids, however you need the tool to open it. For long term food storage I would use the food grade bucket lids which are air tight and extremely strong. Closing the snap on lids require a mallet or the lid tool to hammer seal the lids.
I heard many different reviews about Flex Seal and how effective it is some are positive and some are not as positive. Overall its basically rubber spray.
