This is a quick DIY video on How to Replace 2018, 2019, 2020+ TOYOTA RAV4 – Engine Air Filter. I replace mine every 25,000 to 30,000 miles, or if its really dusty and dirty, or after 2 years.

Its super easy and takes only a few minutes but it can help improve the RAV 4 MPG and the engine’s life. I usually just buy a Toyota RAV4 engine air filter ( https://amzn.to/35zry70 ) from online or with a local Toyota dealership for under $20 or so.

My neighbor brought her 2019 Toyota Rav4 to replace her engine air filter. It only took 5 minutes to replace. There are two silver clips in the holding the air box cover. There are 2 harness clips that needs to be moved away as well.

Car Door Wireless Projector Courtesy Lights – REVIEW & MOD

My 2018 Honda Clarity and other car now lack door courtesy lights so I wanted to try out and test the generic car door projector lights ( https://amzn.to/2T5Lkl7 ) that are found on Amazon for $10- $14 for two. I will unbox, install, review and take apart the projector lights for entertainment. I plan to modify the light in the future videos and see show durable these lights are. The main objective for these lights was for courtesy lights to see if I dropped something on the ground when exiting or entering the car.

In my previous video I added ambient lighting to my Honda and other cars . I used a simple car RGB flexible LED light kit ( https://amzn.to/3nNsQDV ). These projector door lights are battery powered by AAA batteries and are adhered to the door panel triggered by a magnetic switch. Installing these lights took about 20 minutes to position. The curvature of the door panels only allowed for 60 percent of the foot print to be mounted. Being so light weight it worked, but only time will tell. We will do a follow-up video if they fall or fail.

GENIE Aladdin Connect Smart Garage Door Opener Kit $49 – UNBOX & REVIEW

Our Lift Master garage door opener remote broke so we wanted to get a smaller universal remote ( https://amzn.to/3iRb2Ec ). We needed a garage remote for our 2017 Chevy Volt which did not have a garage door opener built into the car. We also want to upgrade to the ability to control and view status of the garage door via a smart phones app. Most universal remotes cost about $30, and since we needed 3 remotes, it was worth exploring an app based solution like the Aladdin Connect ( https://amzn.to/3jVROyw ). There were options to give our friends access to return borrowed items to the garage and be able to monitor the status of the door.

The install was 30 minutes to setup the app, control unit, and mount the door position sensor. The Genie website had very detailed instructions. We just replaced the wires of the old wall switch to the new control module. You can add up to 3 doors to the system with additional sensors ( https://amzn.to/2GVHLeG ). Each Aladdin Connect Door position sensor uses a CR2450 battery ( https://amzn.to/3lGuhCj ) The app can view door status history and which account opened or closed the door. Aladdin Connect can also be controlled by Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant.

Overall, it was a very simple install and upgrade that took less than an hour to setup and add to our cell phones. It comes with hardware and wire to direct wire to the existing garage opener if needed. You will need to make sure your WiFi signal can reach the Aladdin Connect Control unit. If not you may need to get a Wifi extender ( https://amzn.to/2IlgOBk ). We will revisit and review this device and app in a few months, and will give you an update, so subscribe and stay tuned.
