[HVC16] Scratches on my Honda Clarity Touch Screen! Adding a Screen Protector!

I discovered I have scratches on my Honda Clarity Infotainment center touch screen. So I have added a custom cut RUIYA screen protector ( https://amzn.to/3a9y6uE ) which i bought from Amazon for 2 for $9 or so. This is a hard plastic sheet and not tempered glass.

I never had scratches on my touch screens before with my Chevy Volt or any of my other cars, so this was surprising to find scratches. I use a high quality car Costco microfiber cloth ( https://amzn.to/3a8oUXy ) to clean my fingerprints from the screen, however dont think it was the cloth. I normally wipe horizontally. The scratches were vertical and only on spots were my fingers slid to change the audio navigation. I suspect it caused by my finger nails.

The RUIYA screen protector ( https://amzn.to/3a9y6uE ) kit came with 2 screens, two install kits, and a hard plastic card for pushing bubbles. I followed the instructions cleaned with the alcohol wipes, then the mini microfiber, then picked off the any lint or dust with the two anti dust stickers. To apply the screen the instructions on the release tabs are wrong. Start with tab “1” to release the adhesive side. Apply to screen, aligning the screen protector to the top of your center screen. Then slowly place the screen protector on from on corner to the diagonally to the other corner to avoid any bubbles. I had 2 faint bubbles on my screen after applying it. I used the plastic card and my fingers to push it off the edge but it stated. The two faint bubble disappeared after 24 hours or so.

Overall I am satisfied with the screen protector, and i will do a long term review in 6 to 12 months.

Stopping Drafts – Using Under Door Draft Stopper / Insulation / Seal to stop door drafts (Part 2)

To save on air condition costs and repair and lower heat bills, we needed to insulate our doors from drafts. In this video we replaced our aging under door draft seal sweep with a floating foam door draft stopper ( https://amzn.to/2SHYR30 ) . This can installed in minutes to insulate sound, and wind drafts from another room. The more traditional method would be to use a door seal / sweep ( https://amzn.to/35lWsxX ). however our carpet and door was uneven and gets caught.

Btw, my Youtube vlogs and reviews may also have associated affiliate links to products that may earn from qualifying purchases.

In our previous video with replaced door seals with self adhesive Silicone Rubber Window Seal ( https://amzn.to/2u65SQV ) to stop draft from the top and sides of the door.

For our door, the bottom gap was too tall for the built in hardware to adjust. The under door sweep got caught with the carpet and prevented the door from opening fully. It was also getting old and needed replacement. The floating foam door draft stopper ( https://amzn.to/2SHYR30 ) allow the door sweep to adjust to the carpet height to open the door.

To install, simply measure the length of the door and cut to fit. Then add the foam inserts, and peel off the adhesive backed hook and loom tape and attach it to the bottom of the door. A simple 5 minute job. Good for renters as it was not permanent with screws. It can also be removed for washing. Our old door sweep had 3M adhesive foam that needed to be removed. This took a longer time to remove. Does it work, yes. Does it look a little tacky, yes. But to keep the house warm in the winter and cold in the summer its worth it.
