How To: WATCH MOVIES while Parking – Large Display – No Tools Needed!

If you want to watch movies in a large screen in your car and dont want to modify your car, then this video is for you. I will be adding a 13.3 inch 1080P Monitor with USB C and HDMI ( https://amzn.to/3kakZAG ) onto my car. There are larger sizes displays ini 15 and 16 inches ( https://amzn.to/3lmzKj1 ) however I prefer the 13 is a good compact size can be placed in my laptop bag with my laptop as an external monitor when traveling.

The Kogoda 13.3 Inch External Monitor (https://amzn.to/3kakZAG ) is an IPS Full HD 1080P external laptop monitor . It has USB C inputs for late model smart phones and laptops to use as an external monitor. It has a mini HDMI input. Connection is fast and easy and starts up in less a few seconds. Simply connect the USB power and one of the signal cables.

Its powered by USB C 5 volt at 1.5 – 2A. It comes with a wall power supply, but many USB chargers can output 2A now and so can my car’s built in USB charge port. Getting a 12v socket charge port is easy I use a Anker car charger ( https://amzn.to/3CaPkVS ).

It comes with a plastic cover and fold out stand. The cover is held by magnets so you may want to be careful when handling magnetic hard drives, credit cards, and other sensitive items.

I normally work in my car with my laptop or smart phone so if you are planning to use a bigger screen this is also helpful. You can ofcourse watch movies with this display. It is bright enough to use when the car is parked in the shade or in the sun.

Overall it has been a great addition to my car entertainment while parked. I just set it on my dash board and play a movie while waiting an hour for my car to charge or when waiting in the car. It doesnt require taking apart the car or voiding any warranties. It also uses very little energy so it doesnt impact my car battery much.

HOW TO: REPAIR Broken Umbrella Legs Using EPOXY!

Repairing is fun and helps keep useful stuff out of landfills. In this video i repair an REI super light travel umbrella. I troubleshoot and found out which part was broken and repair it with Devon 5 minute EPOXY waterproof glue ( https://amzn.to/3tbVTnU ). If the plastic or fiberglass parts were to break, I use J-B Weld steel reinforced epoxy ( https://amzn.to/2WuDmau ) to fix broken parts

Devon 5 minute epoxy ( https://amzn.to/3tbVTnU ) is very versatile, waterproof, and is more of an adhesive glue to bond plastics, metal, wood, and fiberglass. Since the umbrella legs component original connection to the struts and rods broke, it needed to be glued back together. Super glue or hot glue would not be strong enough compared to 1500 PSI epoxy glue. It has a working time of 5 minutes and cures completely in one hour.

If one of the plastic component broke I would have used JB weld steel reinforced epoxy to reform major cracked parts as it can be formed.

Using Epoxy in general whether it be Devon 5 minute epoxy ( https://amzn.to/3tbVTnU ) or J-B Weld ( https://amzn.to/2WuDmau ) is very easy:

  1. Just degrease all the parts with soap and water or denatured alcohol. 2. Use some disposable pieces of card board as a mixing surface, mixing stick, and a flat edged for clean up or leveling.
  2. Put equal parts of the Epoxy Resin and Hardener.
  3. Mix both parts until uniform.
  4. Apply to surface and clean up any run offs.
  5. Use the clean flat piece to give it a final level.
  6. Clean up and wash hands.
  7. Let cure for the time specified by the epoxy.

Overall, Devon 5 minute epoxy ( https://amzn.to/3tbVTnU ) is very useful for many house hold and as water proof glue. I have it in my garage and tool box and go through a 8.5 oz bottles in about a year if i have a lot of repairs. You want to keep the hardener and resin capped and in a cool storage to avoid drying out.
