HCV 17 – Honda Clarity TIP: Car Weather Stripping & POV Car Wash Experience!

HCV 17 – Honda Clarity VLog 17 – I am adding more weather stripping to lower the dust behind the rear door jams. It seem to work. I used EPDM “D” type weather stripping ( https://amzn.to/36Chk4C ) but there are other types of automotive weather stripping : https://amzn.to/2S1K8xZ . After adding the extra weather stripping on the rear doors, I brought my Clarity to the local car wash to test them out. I worked in keeping the water from getting past the door jam, but since i did not add weather stripping to the top of the door, the jam was still get. At least I know the experiment worked.

I really love automatic car washes and this new one popped up in Southern California. I also added of POV video of my car going through the car wash. Enjoy!

Honda Tip: Open all windows with remote. Close all windows with Key! Honda Clarity

Hey guys i found this awesome feature with my 2018 Honda Clarity . You can open all windows with Honda key fob remote! This is great for airing out a hot car during the summer without having to turn On your car. Also you can close all the windows even with your car off, just by using your car key at the drivers side door.

Remote Window Roll Down:
To open all the windows, click on the “unlock” to unlock your car, then click and hold the “unlock” button and the all the windows will roll down. If you release the button it stops. This works on my 2018-2019 Honda Clarity. I believe it works on the Honda Accord.

To Close or Roll up all the windows:
Release car key out of the Key fob and stick it in the drivers side door key slot.
Turn counter clockwise twice and hold. All the windows will roll up. If its just a single open window it will roll up to close.

Pretty convenient if you dont want to turn ON the car to roll up the window.

Chevy Volt Vlog #71 – 69,800 Miles Update – I need to add 1 Quart at 38% oil life.

Chevy Volt Vlog #71 – At 69,800 miles – so my 2017 Chevy Volt is now about 3 years old. I noticed that it needs a quart of 0W-20 every time the oil life is at 38%. It may be just my Chevy Volt. Now my parents drive it 80-90% of the time with gasoline so it gives me more data on how the engine is holding up. Btw, my Youtube vlogs and reviews may also have associated affiliate links to products that may earn from qualifying purchases.

So quick tips from this Chevy Volt Vlog:

  1. Check ALL your Chevy Volts fluid levels at least MONTHLY: oil, coolants, brake, and wind shield . The transmission fluid has no dipstick so I am planning to change it out at 100k miles.
  2. I use the dip stick as a guide to add oil when i dont have a funnel. See video.
  3. I use Mobil 1 0W-20 oil for my 2017 Volt ( https://amzn.to/2MLHMDk )
