I wanted to decompress the pressure on my back after a long work day. I normally do a brisk fitness workout after work to stretch. Usually sleeping would decompress some pressure, however it was not enough. I was thinking of getting an inversion table ( https://amzn.to/30OdswI ) to hang from but didn’t have the space to store it, nor did I like hanging upside down.

Here is my quick review after using this for over 7 days every night.

Pros:

  • Convienent and easy to use, just plug in, lie down and use.
  • Space saving folds in half to store. Light weight.
  • 3 levels of intensity
  • 4 programs, each last about 15 minutes
  • I feel more relaxed after using it.

Cons:

The instruction manual is pretty worthless on how to use other than telling you to plug it in and not use more than 15 minutes at a time.

If you are short (under 5 feet), you need to experiment on where you position your overall body.

The decompressor only has 4 programs, which is simple and pretty much all I need, however it is very repetitive. Of the 4 programs, only 2 was effective for me.

It would have been good if there were heat elements to pre-heat and relax my muscles prior to the decompression motions.

Tips on how to use:

  • I either do a brief 10 minute stretching and aerobic workout or a hot shower to relax the muscles prior to using the decompressor. There are no heat elements on the decompressor.
  • I started with the lowest in the beginning and worked up to the higher levels over several days. I do only 15 minutes a day. Over a week of use and getting my body used to it, I extended it to 2 program sessions to relax.
  • I had to experiment on which position works the best in low intensity mode.

Is it Worth it?

Overall it doesn’t replace a trip to the Chiropractor or skilled massage therapist, but its works for me to relieve a tired back, especially when I can use it every day if I wanted to. It brings good value and definitely worth it for me.

REVIEW: COSTCO WOOZOO Globe Fan COMPARED! $34

I picked up a WOOZOO Globe Fan ( https://amzn.to/3sLNAxw ) that Oscillates Circulates for an amazing $34 at Costco. I will compare it against my Vornado 460 room fan ( https://amzn.to/30bxZuW ) that i have been using for years.

The WOOZOO globe fan has several advantages over the Vornado 460. It still pushes air current about across the room at about 16 feet away. It can be angled at a angle. Overall its a very quiet fan. It has a timer, breeze mode, most importantly it has oscillation and circulation functions to move air around the room very effectively. The Vornado is noisy in comparison and hard to position the angle.

Is it worth it? Yes for a personal room fan that doesn’t take up much space and comes with an remote, it is a terrific value. It is also very quiet and circulates air in the room very well. I only saw it in white at Costco but they have a black color online ( https://amzn.to/3sLNAxw ). The shell is removable for cleaning. Controls are easy to access on both the remote and on the fan.

REVIEW: Sunbeam RENUE XL – Neck, Shoulder, and Back Heating Pad

This is a quick unboxing and review of my Sunbeam RENUE XL heating pad ( https://amzn.to/3klec5C ) I wanted to get a heating pad for my neck, shoulders, and back while i work at home and for places that dont allow space heaters. I also wanted to get This is better than a space heater as it uses less energy and keeps to warmth on you rather than just heating the air around you.

Taking out of the box, its easy to setup and has multiple heat settings as well as an auto off feature. It comes with weighted so it sits nicey on my shoulders. The heat is very warm and keeps my neck, shoulders, back, and chest muscle warm and relaxed. Its machine washable. It has a magnet to keep the two edges together.

I live in a 1920s southern california house… theres really not much insulation or central heating. It gets to about 60 degrees at night. The only heat i can get is a wall furnace or a space heater both quite ineffective and inefficient. I figured using a heating pad was better energy use than either items. It also helps my shoulders after a long day and during typing on my computer.
