Right out of the box, the Fosi Audio BOX X2 Phono Pre-Amp is a looker. It’s got these cool vacuum tubes on top that glow with a soft blue light, giving it a really unique and retro vibe. But it’s not just about looks; this pre-amp is all about sound quality.

Easy Setup, Amazing Sound

Setting it up was a breeze. Fosi Audio BOX X2 Phono Pre-Amp uses standard RCA inputs, so it was a simple plug-and-play situation. And the sound? Absolutely fantastic! My vinyl records have never sounded so clean and warm. It’s like I’m hearing details I never noticed before. REVIEW FOSI Audio BOX X2 Phono Pre-AMP

I just got a FOSI Audio BOX X2 Phono Pre-AMP for my record player. I am going to do a quick pros and cons review of it. I have been looking at FOSI tube pre amps for the value here is a link to FOSI store on Amazon .

The FOSI tube pre-amp produces warm soft tones from my records more so than my digital pre amp.

The Pros: Great sound, great looks. The connections are simple RCA connect. I typically have it on the first level. The beauty of the unit is the tubes which are led lit from the bottom. I would have prefered if the color was orange to match the trim color. The audio reproduction is very good with warm tones and clean audio from the record player. The front decibel switch is easy to control so i can increase the gain for records which may need it. The tubes can be changed out, so in case you want to upgrade in the future its possible. Overall its a good value.

The Cons: Placement – i found it hard to find a place to put the pre-amp with the tubes. I want to see it on my table but it cant be stacked and it looks funny on my speakers. I normally have my pre amp installed in the rack or behind my record player. This is artwork that needs a small footprint on your entertainment shelf.
