I bought this USB mic so I dont have to be tethered to a lapel mic when narrating videos or presentations. Its an inexpensive improvement over head set mic as you can place it on the desk and be about 12-20 inches from it.
I use it in conjunction with my Sony music headphones ( https://amzn.to/3e1ZFIE ) so there is no feedback issues on my calls. Check out my uploaded video for a comparison test between my gaming headset, laptop mic, and lapel mic.

PRO:

  1. Good clear audio recording from USB connection.
  2. Simple to setup and light weight
  3. Gain control knob in front of the mic to increase recording volume.
  4. Valued priced

CON:

  1. Gain control does not mute mic – no mute button.
  2. Included tripod and mount works
  3. USB only

Overall good value for the quality of recording of the mic. You can spend $100+ for other USB mics with more controls, but if you just need a good mic to narrate a Powerpoint or video, and dont want to wear a mic, this may be a good option for you.
