Canon SX740 HS Review! Easy to Use Travel Camera?

I normally travel and vlog with my heavy Sony A77 DSLR and Olympus TG3 Tough camera ( https://amzn.to/2LSbFCc ) . I love both of them, but I wanted to lighter zoom travel camera for vlogging and light packing. I bought the Sony HX99 ( https://amzn.to/2WgNilF ) two months ago and thought it had all the right specs and a electric view finder for bright days . However, the small size and touch screen was an issue for my big hands as I often missed focus by accidentally touching the screen.

I got Canon SX740 HS 40x optical zoom travel camera! I got the Canon SX740 special bundle with case and memory card at Costco.com for $399 but it may be gone by now. The Canon SX740 is sold online for about $379- $400: https://amzn.to/2YzuA6n

I liked the size of the Canon SX740 HS as the grip fits my hand better and had very similar megapixel and optical range without the touch screen. It was also $50 less than the Sony HX99.

I do prefer the Sony electronic viewfinder, however the easy of use and fit makes makes the Canon the camera I reach if not my Samsung S9 smart phone ( https://amzn.to/2YvZpsC ) .

Pros:
AWESOME Zoom (Canon glass lens with 40x optical zoom and additional 2x digital zoom)
Fits larger hands
light weight
Easy camera setup and connection to Smart phone
Warm saturated photos and video
electronic viewfinder for photographing in the sun,
USB charging (so I can use my cell phone charger)
compact size
Battery charger included
Face tracking
fast autofocus
Under $400
Compact Digital 20 MP
4K Video
Flip screen LCD for VLOGGING and selfies

Cons:
Image quality is not as good as expected (probably due to the small sensor)
Higher ISO gets fuzzy
Low light is not as good as Sony
Need a tripod or support for 40x zoom
Hard to manual focus
Macro photography with zoom lens is hard

Conclusion:
Overall is it worth it? If you want to travel or hike with just a smart phone and need a small ultra zoom camera with a lot of great features to take a photo or 4k video to post to your favorite social media platform, this may be the one. Light, compact , easier to handle for larger hands, and full of utility. The flip monitor is good for light vlogging or selfies. Don’t expect to zoom into your photos for lots of detail, because of the small sensor size its kinda muddy.

I now reach for my Samsung S9 for fast selfies and photos. My Canon SX740 HS for travel and long zooms. My Olympus TG3 for travel, macro and underwater photography. My Sony A77 DSLR for high detail photo and video shoots.

32 DEGREES COOL Performance Mesh Boxer Brief! REVIEW!

I bought a box of 32 DEGREES COOL performance mesh boxer brief from Costco a month ago. Its also sold online : ( https://amzn.to/2E1GDRQ ) . I believe I bought it for about $15 for a 3 pack. I bought them as travel briefs for a business trip so I can wash them over night. The performance mesh breathes really well and very smooth. I also bought some Exofficio Mens Travel Boxer Briefs in a three pack for $16 on clearance! Exofficio travel costs about $15 or more each online! ( https://amzn.to/2vzWjHs )!

Compared to the Exofficio travel briefs, the performance mesh was softer, but felt less durable. I will wear both of them for few months and look forward to do a follow up review.

EASY DIY: Replacing Honda Fender Liner Clips! 7.4 mm Nylon Rivets Needed!

My 2007 Honda Accord fender liners falling off and were making a gap.
It was missing 8 fender liner clips. I wanted to fix this before the liners fall off.My Youtube vlogs may have associated affiliate links to products that I may earn from qualifying purchases.

Not sure if they were missing when I bought the car, but I went ahead and ordered a box of assorted nylon push fasteners and rivets: https://amzn.to/2H1KDUz – they were about $17 dollars or so a whole box of push rivets and it came with trim tools. These were not Honda nylon rivets, as OEM has metal elements in the rivets. They seem a bit fragile but should work. I don’t know if they will last. I needed 7.5 mm rivets for the fender liner. The package had 20 of them. It would have cost about $2 or per rivet at the dealer… 🙁
It only took about 6 minutes but it beats the liner falling off on the road!

For my 2007 Honda Accord, I don’t drive it as much due to my other hybrid vehicles. I keep the battery charged and maintained with a Battery Tender 3 amp ( https://amzn.to/2Lp1CUZ ). I charge it every month, as I want to keep the 12 volt battery from dying.
