REVIEW: Costco AUSAB Australian Abalone!!!

I picked up two cans of AUSAB Australian Abalone at Costco for about $30 a can. There are other canned Australian Abalone sold online ( https://amzn.to/3g26bBd ). This can was 15 oz, 7.5 oz drained, and had 8 pieces of Abalone in the can. The abalone was uniform and were about 2 – 2.5 inches in length. The Abalone is ready to eat and cooked.

The Australian Abalone was super tender and soft. Since the abalone is already cooked, I just reheat them with by boiling the can of broth or my soup and pouring or dipping the abalone into the broth for a few seconds. Or I slice them into smaller slivers for faster heating. You don’t want to over cook the abalone otherwise it will be tough.

I usually dont waste the broth in the can and save it for cooking noodles or adding it to sauces.

How to Make Fancy Trail Mix! Costco Mixed Nuts and M&M’s!!!!

This is how i make my fancy trail mix when  before i go on a hike or long travel trip.  I go to Costco and get their Extra Fancy Unsalted Mixed Nuts  ($17) (  its more pricier at Amazon, but its more convenient –  https://amzn.to/2rEv5xY ) and a Pantry sized M & M’s ($10)  ( https://amzn.to/2jU9u02 )  and mix the two in an empty container.  Pretty simple. You can also add raisins  ( https://amzn.to/2KkwPn1 ) or other dried fruit ( https://amzn.to/2KZ1dnV )  or even Peanut M &M’s  ( https://amzn.to/2wzvu9V ). Try Amazon Prime 30-Day Free Trial!

In any case, i try not to damage the original seal for the container so it can act as a gasket to keep the lid sealed.   Its cheaper to buy the ingredients from Costco or a food wholesaler if you eat a lot of trail mix.

Manuka Honey Compared! UMF15+ VS Kfactor16!!!

I collect honey and today I just compare the two Manuka honey: Comvita Certified UMF15+ versus Wedderspoon Raw Premium Munuka honey KFactor16+.  This is totally a non-scientific and is just a review of the flavor and texture of the honey.  I found that the Comvita was denser, gritty, had a richer flavor than the Wedderspoon KFactor 16+ which was more viscous not as dense and sweeter.  On the glass it looks slightly different as well.  I got both of these at Costco, but Amazon also carries them for about the same price. I like eating honey, so i collect and eat all sorts of honey.  The more local, raw, and interesting the better.  Thanks for watching and enjoy honey!
