My Two Cents on the REDTIGER F7N: Your Daily Driving Sidekick

Alright, let’s chat about something that’s become as essential as my morning coffee: the REDTIGER F7N 4K Dual Dash Cam. https://amzn.to/3JSbdCB ) Now, I know what you’re thinking, “Another gadget for the car?” But trust me, this isn’t just any old camera. This little marvel, with its crisp 4K front and 1080P rear recording, really levels up your everyday driving game. It’s like having an extra pair of eyes on the road, watching your back (and front!) with incredible clarity, especially when you’re just trying to get to work without any drama.

Think about it: your daily commute, the school run, even just a quick trip to the grocery store. Accidents happen, and sadly, sometimes people aren’t as honest as they should be about them. That’s where the F7N shines. Its wide 170° angle means it catches everything, from unexpected swerves to sudden stops. Plus, the built-in GPS accurately logs your route and speed, which can be invaluable for insurance claims or just proving your whereabouts. It’s a silent witness that never forgets, giving you peace of mind on those otherwise mundane drives.

But it’s not just about accidents. I’ve found the F7N surprisingly handy for capturing unexpected moments too. Remember that time a deer bounded across the road, or when a particularly stunning sunset painted the sky as I was driving home? The 4K resolution truly brings those moments to life. And with the 64GB card included, there’s plenty of space to store these little nuggets of daily life. It’s more than just a safety device; it’s a window to your world on wheels.

The loop recording feature is a lifesaver for everyday use. You don’t have to worry about constantly clearing space; the F7N just keeps recording, overwriting the oldest files when the card fills up. This means it’s always ready to go, no fuss. And the Wi-Fi and app control? Game-changer. If something happens, you can quickly pull up the footage on your phone without fumbling with the camera itself. It truly integrates seamlessly into your driving routine, becoming an unobtrusive yet powerful presence.

So, if you’re looking for a simple, effective way to enhance your daily driving experience and add an extra layer of security, the REDTIGER F7N is definitely worth considering. It’s rugged enough for constant use, intuitive enough for anyone to operate, and provides that reassuring feeling that someone’s always got your back. Trust me, once you have one, you’ll wonder how you ever drove without it.

Easy Installation: Setting it up seems pretty straightforward .
Intuitive Menu: The menu system is easy to use, with large, clearly labeled buttons .
GPS and Wi-Fi: The inclusion of GPS and Wi-Fi is a major .
Good Resolution: The video quality is sharp and clear .

Cons:

Weak Adhesive: The adhesive used for the rear camera isn’t the strongest .
Plastic Mounts: The mounts are made of plastic, which might not be as durable as other materials .
Short Rear Cable: The cable for the rear camera could be longer, potentially making installation tricky in some vehicles .

Installation How To :

First, you’ll need to mount the main camera and display unit .
Then, slide the GPS unit into its designated slot.
Use the provided plastic sheets to help you position everything correctly.
The rear camera mount uses 3M adhesive to stick it in place.
Plug the camera into your car’s 12-volt power supply.
Run the cable for the rear camera along the headliner of your car.
Finally, mount the rear camera, ideally above your license plate.

Overall:

The install was easy and the dash cam works well.
The package includes the main camera/display, the GPS unit, and those helpful plastic sheets for installation. There’s a dedicated slot on the camera for the GPS.
The camera gets its power from a 12-volt USB connection.
I had to make a custom bracket to mount the camera on the back window of their trunk.
They used double-sided tape to attach the camera to the window.
Its been working well!
