REVIEW: KATCHY Indoor Insect Trap – 6 MONTHS LATER…

For the past 6 months we used the Katchy Indoor Insect Trap ( https://amzn.to/3BSMswu ) to capture mosquitos and gnats in the house.
Fruit flys, gnats, and mosquitos are attracted to fruit in the kitchen or come via the open window due to the heat.

This video is a 6 month review of the Katchy Indoor Insect Trap ( https://amzn.to/3BSMswu ). It works by attracting flying insects with the UV light and sucking them into a funnel to an adhesive bait pad. We leave the unit on continuously, however it works better at night when the only light is the UV lamp.

After 6 months the fan is starting to make noise however the UV lamp still works. The stylish design looks modern. It is powered by USB A plug which can be connected to your computer or a USB hub. This makes it convenient for users who want to run it with a power bank for camping or just plugged into their computer on their desk.

Overall e Katchy Indoor Insect Trap ( https://amzn.to/3BSMswu ) works and is portable enough to place it in the kitchen or the inside a tent at night.

Costco GREENER WAYS ORGANIC – DEET FREE Bug Repellent 3 – Pack $9 (Normally $14)

Costco has GREENER WAYS Organic – DEET FREE Bug Repellent ( https://amzn.to/32WrXB6 ) in a three pack for $9.99 (Normally $14.49). I normally buy one of these 3 packs from Costco a year. Its been about 3 years now. For forest hikes and camping areas with ticks, I will use DEET based bug repellent like Off Deep Forest ( https://amzn.to/2EfxoAx ). No use in taking a risk with health.

I use Greenways Organic DEET FREE bug repellent ( https://amzn.to/32WrXB6 ). I have a bottle in the car and at my front and rear house doors. I spray myself when i go work on the garden or for an after dinner walk at dusk. I use this almost every day and it works for the 1-2 hours i am out. I also use it for my day or urban hikes, but typically reapply after 2-3 hours.

For forest hikes and camping areas with ticks, I will use DEET based bug repellent like Off Deep Forest ( https://amzn.to/2EfxoAx ). I will spray it on my hiking clothing to prevent having it touch my skin. No use in taking a risk with health with either the bugs or DEET.

Costco VICTOR Smart Kill WiFi Electronic Rat Trap $49

I saw an VICTOR Smart Kill WiFi Electronic Rat Trap at my Costco for $49. There are similar or better electronic rat traps online: https://amzn.to/3aKQWI4 . The neat convenient thing about this rat trap is the WiFi connect to let you know when it has caught the rodent. Its also usable.

I remember using rat glue traps ( https://amzn.to/39Lmi10 ) in the past and found it useful but messy it it fell over or if the pet dog or cat got to it. Normally for my rat traps i use peanut butter to attract the rat, however with glue traps i used were single use. I never use rat poison as it my harm my pets. I believe that reusable traps are better.
