According to the packaging, WAATR HydroCap ( https://amzn.to/3yrYBcN ) uses UV-C light to kill 99% of the germs with the UV-C light in the rechargeable cap. For me it brings me peace of mind to zap my drinking water. Especially when traveling to places like the woods or other countries where water safety is a concern.

WAATR HydroCap ( https://amzn.to/3yrYBcN )- Self Cleaning UV-C light emitting water bottle cap
is pretty useful for travel and zapping water with UV C light.
What I liked and disliked about the self cleaning bottle cap:
Likes:

  • Great idea for travelers
  • Great for people who love their HydroFlasks and dont want to buy another water purifier specific bottle.
  • Simple to use.
  • Reminder to drink water timer
  • Self cleaning mode
  • Different levels of water purification.

Dislike:

  • No USB C fast charging – 3 hours to charge initially.
  • Charging cable is proprietary.
  • Need to fill the water bottle completely to activate UV light.

Overall I love my Waatr HydroCap, more for the ability to use UV light to purify my water when I travel to the gym, back woods hike, or to another country. It doesnt add too much more weight and the USB rechargeable battery is convenient.

[HCV 18] Honda Clarity Tip – Cup Holder Stuck on some bottles – Just TILT it!

HCV -Honda Clarity Tip – Cup Holder Stuck on some bottles – Just TILT it!
So I really dislike the cup holders on the 2018 Honda Clarity because it gets caught while pulling water bottles with wider bottoms upward. After my A012 service (oil change, air filter change, tire rotation) i decided to try to figure out how to solve this. I had just received a Hydro Flask 20 OZ Wide mouth ( https://amzn.to/2S1K8xZ ) and wanted to use it. It gets caught. So naturally i removed the bottom anti-slip boot from the bottle . Then I tried just tilting the bottle towards the cup holder spring and it released it without getting caught. Anyhoo… Honda A012 service is all complete.

I have just completed a A012 service on my 2018 Honda Clarity. It took me about 1 hour of work and saved me time and money from going to a dealership.
For the A012 Service i needed to service or replace the following:

  1. Change the Oil and Oil Filter:
  2. Change the Honda Clarity engine air filter.
  3. Change the Honda Clarity In cabin Air filter: ( https://amzn.to/37V9cgl )
  4. Rotate Tires
  5. Check the fluid levels and check the chassis for any issues

How to reset the Honda Maintenance Minder or Service Due notice :

  1. Go to the center infotainment screen
  2. Settings.
  3. Vehicle Settings.
  4. Maintenance Minder Information.
  5. Reset All.
  6. Confirm.

Tire Rotation – I brought my Honda to my local garage to have the tires rotated. Remember to have the TPMS reset after you rotate your tires other wise it will show an error. I believe its due to the positioning and distance of the tires from the radio sensors.. i dunno.
Here is the link for the reset procedure:
