I bought the 4k NVR 8 channel 6 camera version only a few months ago for $699. I like that fact that its wired by network cable instead of batteries or analogue audio video cables. It makes the install easier with one wire pull. It comes with 8 cameras with motion sensor, light controls, night lighting, and has good video picture quality in 4k, even thought for my 6 camera system i installed earlier i only use 1080p. Each camera has a microphone and speaker phone so you can listen or talk through the camera from your smart phone app. I really like the motion detection and lighting. I use that in addition to my porch and security lighting.
