2016-2020 Chevy Volt Spark Plug Change (@ 100,000 miles) Chevy Volt Vlog #73

Chevy Volt Vlog #73: Quick video on how to change your 2016-2020 Chevy Volt Spark Plugs. Typically you need to change them out at 100,000 miles. The process takes about 20 minutes.   1. 4 x AC Delco Iridium Spark Plugs #41-124
  2. 14 mm Spark Plug Socket ( https://amzn.to/2EOYyyp )
  3. Socket wrench set (w/ 10 mm socket https://amzn.to/31Gm0qA )
  4. Socket wrench extension (8 in. https://amzn.to/3joA5z9 )
  5. Torque wrench ( 5- 80 lb – you need 18 lb for sparkplug torque – https://amzn.to/3gAkieM)
  6. Screwdriver bit set (100 Pc – you need a Star bit T30 or T32 for the engine cover – https://amzn.to/31BFnRQ )

Costco now has Full Synthetic Motor Oil sold in a 6 Pack box of 1 quart bottles for $14.99 . It’s pretty much $2.49 /qt. Thats cheaper than Walmart Supertech and Mobil 1. Even Amazon has full synthetic motor oil : https://amzn.to/2Pkr0dc . This is more convenient if buying the 5 quart jug is not enough oil for your truck, or for smaller car and SUV engines that need a only 3.5 quarts. It is also easier to store and handle than a 5 quart jug.

There are so many new full synthetic motor oils on the market with smaller hybrid and turbo engines. I like that there are more competition from different brands. For me I am not brand specific. I remember paying $30- $35 for 5 quarts. 10 years later, Pennzoil, Valvoline, Castrol, Walmart SuperTech and now Costco Kirkland Signature has a Full synthetic 5w-30 motor oil selling for about $12 – $38 dollars! You can even buy it online https://amzn.to/2IC0Opk . What oil do you use, and have you used the other FULL SYNTHETIC brands or do you still use Conventional motor oil?
