DIY: Pet Stainless Steel Water Dispenser / Fountain with 2 Liter bottle!!!

Last week my pet water dispenser / fountain broke.  Winky my cat was playing with the water and knocked it off the porch. I needed a to go on weekend trip and needed to make a temporary water dispenser for my cat. I was in search of a new water fountain and found several online ( https://amzn.to/2M46saf ) that were good but were made of plastic. I liked my Daiso water dispenser as it used 1.5 liter tea beverage bottle that i can recycle and replace every couple of months if needed.  Alas, i was not able to find the water dispenser base.  I wanted a stainless steel base dispenser for ease of cleaning and durability ( https://amzn.to/2Ohi5qW ), however they were pricey and i didnt want to invert a bottle to refill.

My solution: DIY a stainless steel water fountain with a 2 liter bottle as a reservoir!   I bought a large stainless steel pet food bowl ( https://amzn.to/2OeJzgE ) and got recently finished 2 liter bottle of ginger ale soda with cap ( https://amzn.to/2KwQ0cV ).

Using a plastic cup to experiment, I cut a small triangle on the bottom to test the concept of using gravity pressure feed for the water dispenser. It worked. So I used a utility knife and scissors to cut a 1/2 inch (1 centimeter ) tall triangle 2 inches from the base of the bottle.  The tip of the triangle will be upper limit of the water level you want for the water bowl.  To fill the bottle, i place my finger over the triangle to stop water from draining. Uncap the top and fill the bottle.  Replace the cap.  I then place the bottle into the large bowl. It will drain until it reaches the top of the triangle and stop.

Simple  temporary solution to buying something more complex to supply 2 days of water to my cat.  The 2 liter bottle was a good size as it was not heavy to carry and handle.  It was also recyclable.

I hope this DIY was useful and will probably create a cleaner version of this water dispenser.  Anyways please like subscribe and stayed tuned for more DIYs and other pet stuff.

This is for video is for  entertainment, do so at your own risk or just buy a pet water fountain from a pet store.  I only needed this as it was a temporary fix. My neighbors fed and watered my cat when i was away.

Costco! Braun Series 7 Men’s Wet/Dry Electric Foil Shaver! $99!!!

Sweet deal ! Braun Series 7 Shaver: http://amzn.to/2AHSJwV Over the past 10+ years I shave and detail my own hair. I want to share what I have been using for years. For my daily 90% shaving needs on my face and weekly shaving of my head I use the Philips Norelco wet/dry electric shaver AT830 ( https://amzn.to/3blJpPH ). Recently, I got the OneBlade Hybrid Trimer ( https://amzn.to/3blJpPH ) to shave down all my hair to less than 2 mm, then use the Norelco AT830 to shave. Btw, my Youtube vlogs and reviews may also have associated affiliate links to products that may earn from qualifying purchases.

Before the OneBlade I would need to use a Gillette Fusion5 to manually take them off any longer strands that the AT830 missed. I haven’t replaced my AT830 blades for over 4 years, because i clean my blades of all the hair with a tooth brush every shave.

DETAIL TRIMMING:
The Philips OneBlade is very precise and has two side trimmers on the top and bottom. You have to place it flat against you skin. Its only for facial hair note for body hair as the blades are too fine. Just rinse out the hair after every use.

NOSE HAIR:
The Conair Men nose trimmer ( https://amzn.to/3dveTVk ) is a one of the best nose trimmers i used as it shaves in 360 and on the sides of the inserts. Very impressive. Before the Conair, i used a rounded tip safety scissors to VERY SLOWLY and CAREFULLY trim my nose hair. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND using the Conair Nose trimmer its safer and faster than the scissors

INGROWN HAIR:
I still love using super sharp Gillette Fusion5 Men’s Razor blades ( https://amzn.to/2WDHMrv ). If you have ingrown hair and have issues with using electric razor a manual razor is a good solution. It gets expensive if you dont clean the blades after every use.
