From Box to Road: Installing Your REDTIGER F7N Like a Pro

Alright, so you’ve got your shiny new REDTIGER F7N 4K Dual Dash Cam https://amzn.to/3JSbdCB and that sweet 64GB card. Now what? Installing it might seem a bit daunting at first, but trust me, it’s far simpler than it looks, even for someone like me who’s not exactly a car mechanic. You’ll have it up and running, recording your drives in no time.

First things first, find the perfect spot. For the REDTIGER F7N front camera, the best place is usually behind your rearview mirror. This way, it gets a clear view of the road without obstructing your line of sight. Clean the area thoroughly on your windshield – you want that adhesive mount (or suction cup, if you go that route) to stick firmly. Once it’s clean, attach the mount, press it firmly, and then slide the main camera onto it. Adjust the angle so you’re capturing the road ahead clearly.

Next up, the rear camera. The REDTIGER F7N usually mounts on your rear windshield. Again, clean the glass thoroughly. Many people find it easiest to stick the electrostatic sticker first, then attach the rear camera to that. Route the cable for the rear camera along the headliner and trim panels. This sounds complicated, but it’s usually just a matter of gently tucking the wire into the gaps. You can use a trim tool (or even a credit card!) to help you push the wire neatly out of sight.

Now for the power. The F7N typically comes with a car charger that plugs into your cigarette lighter or 12V outlet. Route this cable too, usually down the A-pillar and along the dashboard, tucking it away as you go. For a cleaner, more permanent setup (and to enable parking mode!), you might consider hardwiring it to your fuse box. This involves a hardwire kit (often sold separately or bundled), connecting to constant power and ACC fuses. If you’re not comfortable with this, a professional can do it, but honestly, there are tons of easy-to-follow tutorials online that show you how to identify the right fuses with a simple circuit tester.

Finally, insert that 64GB microSD card into the REDTIGER F7N‘s main camera. Power up your car, and the dash cam should turn on automatically. You might need to do a quick initial setup through the camera’s menu or the companion app to set the time, date, and any other preferences. And just like that, you’re ready to hit the road with your new vigilant co-pilot, recording every moment in glorious 4K and 1080P. Easy peasy!
