DIY: How to install an Autofocus (AF) chip on a Vintage Lens Adaptor. (Olympus to Canon)

How to install a Canon Autofocus (AF) chip on a Vintage Lens Adaptor:
Basically i got a few 1970s Olympus OM lenses that i want to use on my Canon T2i DSLR. With adaptor ring it works but you cant find focus through the view finder. So you need to use LiveView to see if its focused. Btw, my Youtube vlogs and reviews may also have associated affiliate links to products that may earn from qualifying purchases.

This causes high battery use. Installing a AF chip allows you to use the view finder electronics and the focus points. You will need an af chip for your canon DLSR, a converter ring and some epoxy. I bought a converter ring with a chip ( https://amzn.to/2Egpchi ) and had some epoxy . … or you can just buy finished one on ebay or amazon for $30-$50 dollars ( https://amzn.to/2Egpchi ). This small project was fun. Enjoy.

Costco! 50ft Heavy Duty 12/3 SJTW Extension Cords (2 PACK)! $39!!!

Costco has 50ft Heavy Duty 12/3 SJTW Extension Cords in a 2 PACK for $39!!! That’s an amazing value consider one  of these cables costs about $30 – $40 ( https://amzn.to/2GqZSXV) .

Last time I bought a 50ft 12/3 SJTW extension cord, it cost me about $45 from the home improvement store.  These are great for long runs due to the larger gauge wiring.  The lighted plug ends are nice to help find the plug, however I typically cut the ends off an put heavy duty none lighted adapters on.

I  see these are will be popular with rentals and renters.  With most homes built with only 1 or two bath rooms, a shower caddy offers room mates, who need more storage areas in shared bathrooms
