REVIEW: Philips SONICARE Electric Toothbrush 5 Years Later…

This is my long term review of my Philips Sonic Care electric tooth brush ( https://amzn.to/2SQDCyK ). I bought it 5 years ago and its been going great. I got a MOSPRO water flosser ( https://amzn.to/2UoPyYF ) because my dentist wanted me to floss more

The battery and device works great. It has low noise. The Philips replacement heads ( https://amzn.to/3y9n7fY ) are clean very well, durable and affordable. I typically change it out every 4-5 months.

Overall it cleans my teeth well and is worth it.

Using POWER DRILL SCRUB BRUSHES for the First Time!

Using POWER DRILL SCRUB BRUSHES attachements ( https://amzn.to/3pWCyV1 ) for the first time! And it saves A LOT of time from scrubbing. It usually takes me about 20 to 30 minutes to scrub my bath stall. Now it took about 10 minutes.

With all power tools and cleaning chemicals you should follow all safety procedures and precautions. Before using cleaning agent or solutions, I tested my setup with a bit of water to wet the brushes first to test brush speed and amount of fluid flinging. When i first used the power drill attachment I tested it out on a small area to see if the brushes would scratch my shower stall.

I been using powered AJAX cleaner ( https://amzn.to/36N2Stm ) for the majority of the shower stall. I use Lime Away ( https://amzn.to/2YSsYGR )for hard water and calcium build up areas. RINSE all cleanser chemicals before using another cleanser. I do not mix cleansers due to chemical reactions.

DISCLAIMER: – DO THIS AT YOUR OWN RISK –

SAFETY FIRST:

  1. FOLLOW CLEANER WARNING LABELS
  2. WEAR EYE PROTECTION
  3. WEAR GLOVES
  4. GOOD VENTILATION – Open Windows – Turn ON Exhaust Fans
  5. FOLLOW POWER TOOL SAFETY

The power drill scrub brush kit ( https://amzn.to/3pWCyV1 ) came with 3 brushes I found that the 3 inch round brush works great on curved surfaces and corner detailing and on the base of the shower. The 4 inch flat brush worked very well on the shower floor and walls. They small 1.5 inch flat brush had very little use. I am sure i can use it in hard to reach places. It also had an extension which i didnot need to use.

DIY: Removing Rubber Odor from Spare Tire , Rubber Mats, or Rubber Stuff!

I have a 2018 Honda Clarity and 2017 Chevy Volt which I bought spare tires for. I hate the rubber odor from the compact tires, as i have the tires surface mounted in my trunk. I tried a few methods to lower or remove the smell from the trunk. See steps taken below or on the video.

Steps I took to remove the rubber smell from my car:

  1. Use baking soda ( https://amzn.to/32VPorO ) to absorb order in trunk.
  2. Vacuum trunk after using baking soda
  3. Wash rubber tire / mat with dish washing liquid ( https://amzn.to/2ye0WbJ ) and rinse
  4. Soak rubber tire / mat with white vinegar ( https://amzn.to/2Mh0GAZ) . Solution Mixture 1 cup per gallon of water . I used my shower stall, by plugging the drain, and pouring about 5 gallons of the solution in to the stall. I soaked each side of the tire in the stall solution for about 3-4 hours on each side.
  5. Wash off and rinse the vinegar with dish washing liquid and rinse.
  6. Place the tire in sunlight area for 1 day. Expose the other side for a 1 day in the sun.
  7. DONE. Replace the rubber tire or mat back into the trunk.
