Costco Gaming Laptops: MSI GE75 Raider & LEVONO LEGION 5 – Which one should I buy?

Costco has two new gaming laptops on sale MSI GE75 Raider 17inch ( https://amzn.to/3j73yxn ) and LEVONO LEGION 5 15 inch ( https://amzn.to/3gpBWBM ) for $1399 and $1199 respectively. I was only able to find the MSI GE75 Raider at one of three Costco in my area. Both gaming laptops have new 10th generation Intel i7 10750H processor, Nvidia GeForce Graphics processor (GPU), fast 144 Hz refresh rate displays, 1 TB hard drive and 512 GB SSD, and Intel Wifi and Bluetooth connections.

While the MSI is about $200 more than the Legion 5, the following advantages are worth it:

  1. Larger 17 inch screen
  2. RGB Lighted keyboard with programmable keys
  3. Nvidia GeForce RTX 2060 GPU ( upgrade compared to GTX 1660Ti )
  4. Media card reader
  5. LOUD speakers! ( See my review later! )
  6. Gamer styling – MSI is very “gamer” stylish, while Legion 5 is low key minimal design.

My reasons for buying either one of these powerful gaming computers:
I needed a new video editing laptop and decided to by the MSI GE75 as for the advantages above. Since i needed the media reader and faster GPU processor. The lighted RGB keyboard was a bonus for programmable colored keys. I used to have a Razer Blade gamer laptop which is really well built: https://amzn.to/2YtbrW1 it also very powerful, but costs so much more.

Costco WOOZOO 5-Speed Multi-directional Globe Fan w/ Remote $34

Costco has the WOOZOO 5-Speed Globe Fan ( https://amzn.to/2CAqlSz ) with Remote for $34. Normally its $44 at Costco a few weeks ago. Online these cost about $60 -70 as the fan can oscillate in multiple directions fan and can be programmed by the remote. These were very popular at the beginning of summer, and more so now during mid summer. I own several Vornado fans, however they don’t have remotes or custom oscillate abilities. Perfect for the dorm room or small room.

JETSON BOLT PRO – REAR RACK & STUFF – INSTALLED

JETSON BOLT PRO – I got my Jetson Bolt Pro for $299 from Costco and love it. It’s time to start accessorizing this bike to be more useful. In this video I install a rear bicycle rack ( https://amzn.to/30KgJ0W ) for more storage and cargo options. I also added a strap on water bottle cage, as this bike does not have frame mounts for a bottle cage and a cellphone mount. In my prior video i installed folding pedals ( https://amzn.to/2CfeoBM ) for easier storage.

Adding the rear rack to the Jetson Bolt Pro allows me to carry more cargo during my rides. Whether we are going to get lunch or to the market for groceries. It also prevents rear splashes from puddles. I am using my 10+ year old rear padded bike trunk that mounts on with Velcro. There are other similar bicycle trunk bags online (https://amzn.to/2DB5hfv ). I also plan to mount a crate to hold larger times such as lunch and drinks.

The Bell rear rack ( https://amzn.to/30KgJ0W )mounts to the rear seat post and can hold up to 20-45 lbs of weight. It comes with struts that mount to the frame, however i will not be able to use them as my bike tubes are too wide. I will keep less than 20lbs on this rack. I like how it is adjustable and that it comes with bungie tie down cords. I typically just using it to holding my bicycle locks ( https://amzn.to/33OWMI9) and stuff.

For the bicycle water bottle cage ( https://amzn.to/2XRb07v ) its a simple $10 strap on one similar to the one I have on my Vilano Atom electric bike. As for cell phone holder ( https://amzn.to/2PFSQ4m ) i got the same generic plastic silicone holder i used for a few years.
