Weekly Refresh:

I make sure to vacuum regularly to tackle dust, dander, and all those pesky particles that accumulate on our floors and carpets. After each use, it’s crucial to empty the dustbin of the Shark Navigator Lift-Away. I give it a good tap to ensure all the debris is out.

Monthly Deep Clean:

Once a month, I give my Shark Navigator Lift-Away a more thorough cleaning. I remove and rinse both sponges with a little bit of detergent. It’s important to squeeze out all the dirt and then let them air dry completely (about 1.5 to 2 days) before putting them back. I also rinse out the dust container bin and leave it ajar to dry.

Six-Month/Annual Tune-Up:

Every six months to a year, I replace the HEPA filter. This is key to maintaining Shark Navigator Lift-Away‘s optimal cleaning performance. It’s a simple process: pop off the front lid, pull out the old filter, insert the new one, and replace the lid.

Reassembly Tips:

When putting the sponges back in, remember that the thin one goes on the bottom, and the foam one goes on top.

Following this routine has kept my Shark Navigator Lift-Away running smoothly and effectively. It’s an investment in a clean and healthy home!

HOW TO: Replace Shark Robot Vacuum – HEPA Filter and Vacuum Roller

Hey there, fellow home cleaning enthusiasts! Sterling W. here, and today I’m diving into a topic that’s essential for keeping your trusty Shark robot vacuum in top shape: replacing the roller and HEPA filter. I recently learned how to do this on my Shark robot vacuum, and it’s surprisingly easy!

Btw, my Youtube vlogs and reviews may also have associated affiliate links to products that may earn from qualifying purchases. For items in this video, web page, or vlog, please check out other gift ideas at my Amazon lists. Visit: https://www.amazon.com/shop/sterlingw

Why This Matters

Let’s face it, our Shark robot vacuum work hard to keep our floors clean, and over time, certain parts wear out. The roller, which helps pick up dirt and debris, can get worn down, especially if you have pets or lots of foot traffic. And the HEPA filter, which traps dust and allergens, can become clogged, even with regular cleaning. Replacing these parts is crucial for maintaining your vacuum’s performance and keeping your home healthy.

How to Replace the Roller

  1. First, locate the door that covers the roller. You’ll find two tabs that release it.
  2. Slide one side of the old roller out. Note that one side is fixed, while the other rotates to align with an opening.
  3. To install the new roller, align the fixed side first.
  4. Then, slide in the rotating side.
  5. Keep in mind that rollers typically need replacing every one to two years.

How to Replace the HEPA Filter

  1. The HEPA filter is located in the back container of your robot vacuum.
  2. Open the container. You might want to dust it out first.
  3. Depending on your Shark model, you may need to replace the entire top part of the container (which includes the filter) or just the filter itself.
  4. If replacing the entire top part, the hinges usually slide off clips.
  5. Remove the old filter/top part and insert the new one.

Easy Peasy!

Replacing these parts is a breeze, and it can significantly improve your Shark robot vacuum‘s performance. The old HEPA filter was really dirty, even with monthly cleaning. So, don’t wait until your vacuum starts struggling—make these replacements a part of your regular maintenance routine!
