With the 3000 watt inverter, i plan to hook it up to my 2017 Chevy Volt as a emergency power generator so i can power my freezer and power tools if any rolling power outages happen to California, like it did last week, due to the high wind and high forest fire risk.
It comes with 2x 1/0 AWG cables and a remote power switch. Long term wise, i plan to use this with my solar power project with my Chevy Volt’s 12 volt AGM battery and other batteries to convert the stored solar panels into 115v to power my electronics and other appliances.
I typically have a 150 W power inverter in my car for my laptop, and this 3000 W power inverter is HUGE compared to the 150 Watt w/ usb charging ( https://amzn.to/2MxoIaI ), I also have a 1000 watt inverter for camping (https://amzn.to/2N0FQEq ).
I can’t wait to set this up with my 2017 Chevy Volt or to build a small solar power system to power my garage. Stay tuned for more!
