REVIEW! RunningSnail – Solar Crank Battery – Emergency NOAA Weather Radio, LED Light and USB charger! $29! Unbox & Review!!!

I just got a RunningSnail – MD-090 – Solar, Crank, and  Battery powered – Emergency NOAA Weather Radio, LED Light and USB charger for $29 on Amazon: https://amzn.to/2QR4L2g .  I made a quick unboxing and review video. This was to replace the one in my car that was stolen.  I like that fact that i has a 2,000 mah lithium ion battery built in that can be charged by USB wall charger, solar, or hand crank. The solar cell is on the top of the radio. The USB ports are on the side. The hand crank is on the opposite side.  It would take a lot of cranking or hours under the sun to fully charge the battery. Fortunately, you can switch to AAA dry cell batteries for fast power.

I mainly bought it for the NOAA weather / AM / FM radio, flash light, and USB recharge ability for cel phones. However the siren and compact design was a bonus.

Costco! Type S – Solar Wireless Car Backup Cam! $124!!!

Costco has Type S Solar HD Wireless Car Backup Cam for $124! This is a good kit if you don’t want to splice wires and just want a plug and play solution.  There are other wireless backup cameras which use 12 volt power from a reverse light ( https://amzn.to/2OdiudB ), but this unit makes it even simpler for the DIYer!

The TypeS Solar Wireless Backup Cam uses solar to power the rear license plate camera! It has a battery and solar panel built in to the license plate!

The backup camera kit is activated by waving your hand at the monitor and by g-sensor (car movement) to wake up the camera.

Costco! Arlo Pro 2 – Wire-Free 5 HD Camera Security System for $749!!! This is $100 off the already low $849 price!  Normally Arlo Pro 2 camera costs about $200 per camera as a set ( https://amzn.to/2BZusox ) .

The main difference between the Arlo Pro and Arlo Pro 2 is the 1080P resolution of the newer cameras.  The Arlo system comes with a 7 day cloud recording feature.  The Arlo system runs on batteries that can last anywhere from one week to several weeks depending on the recording activity.  With the application you can geofence and mark regions of the camera view to activate recording.  The batteries are rechargeable.  Searching the internet, there are  solar ( https://amzn.to/2pGLxwg ) and hard wire  ac power options for the Arlo system as well ( https://amzn.to/2yhWZSV ) .
