JETSON BOLT PRO – Speed Test – What is the TOP SPEED?

Jetson BOLT PRO – MAX Speed Test – Week 4
I got my Jetson Bolt Pro for $299 from Costco and love it. I have been asked how fast does it accelerate and what is the TOP speed of the stock Jetson Bolt Pro. Well in this video I used my smartphone GPS and Insta360 ONE R camera ( https://amzn.to/2Eaqj4T ) to get a speed test!

I took my Jetson Bolt Pro to a local university road as it has a great vista and a long circular road surrounding the campus. The limited traffic was safer for me to run these speed tests with a hand held action cam. I used some of the electric range getting up the hill. But afterward, I rode around campus after work. I must have rode the bike for about 10 miles with pedal assist and without. The max EV throttle speed i got was about 14-15 mph. The max speed with the stock crank drive train was clocked at 17.78 MPH . If it is modified with a larger single speed crank and chain ring, it should get up to 18-20+ MPH top speed with pedaling. I would use the bike hub motor to get to speed and then use pedaling to cruise at about 15 to 18 MPH.

Costco Gaming Laptops: MSI GE75 Raider & LEVONO LEGION 5 – Which one should I buy?

Costco has two new gaming laptops on sale MSI GE75 Raider 17inch ( https://amzn.to/3j73yxn ) and LEVONO LEGION 5 15 inch ( https://amzn.to/3gpBWBM ) for $1399 and $1199 respectively. I was only able to find the MSI GE75 Raider at one of three Costco in my area. Both gaming laptops have new 10th generation Intel i7 10750H processor, Nvidia GeForce Graphics processor (GPU), fast 144 Hz refresh rate displays, 1 TB hard drive and 512 GB SSD, and Intel Wifi and Bluetooth connections.

While the MSI is about $200 more than the Legion 5, the following advantages are worth it:

  1. Larger 17 inch screen
  2. RGB Lighted keyboard with programmable keys
  3. Nvidia GeForce RTX 2060 GPU ( upgrade compared to GTX 1660Ti )
  4. Media card reader
  5. LOUD speakers! ( See my review later! )
  6. Gamer styling – MSI is very “gamer” stylish, while Legion 5 is low key minimal design.

My reasons for buying either one of these powerful gaming computers:
I needed a new video editing laptop and decided to by the MSI GE75 as for the advantages above. Since i needed the media reader and faster GPU processor. The lighted RGB keyboard was a bonus for programmable colored keys. This flashlights come with clips making it convenient to clip it to a jacket or cap and the pivot head with magnetic base can be used on metal surfaces and angled pretty practical for preparing you bag for hiking,camping, road side automotive kit, or for the tool box. I prefer head lamps to free up my hand when working.

It uses Micro USB to charge the battery. While i like rechargeable flash lights, i would have preferred if it was USB C as in my previous video i have move to standardize all my devices to USB C. The first one is the RovyVon Aura A23 about $49 ( https://amzn.to/38WnkpQ ) which is less than 3 inches and outputs 1000 lumens of light from powerful Cree LED. The second one is the tiny RovyVon A3 about $29( https://amzn.to/2U8J3W7 ).

Why switch to rechargeable USB?
Similar to the XiaoMi 1000 Lumen LED flashlight ( https://amzn.to/2D1FBVj ) i reviewed earlier ( https://youtu.be/DNApf8x-x24 ), I wanted to make a move to have all my devices and flashlights go towards a USB rechargeable platform. Its so that i can carry one primary power supply or wall charger and not have to worry about battery form factor. For example: if my 5.11 LED EDC pen light ( https://amzn.to/2TSyojx ) which i carry runs out of power, I will need a new AAA alkaline dry cell to replace it. If my RovyVon A23 flash light runs out of power, i just need to plug it into my 26,800 power bank ( https://amzn.to/38SMh5B ) to still have continuous light. Great for camping and emergency preparedness.
