REVIEW: Costco VICKS No Touch 3-in-1 Thermometer – Fast & Easy to use! Can read Forehead & Surface

I was at Costco and got a VICKS No Touch 3-in-1 Thermometer ( https://amzn.to/3o1UsqQ ) to to get check the temperature of my siblings and parents. This was at Costco for about $20. I bought It also can check surface temperature readings. There are other non-contact infrared forehead thermometers ( https://amzn.to/3xypc6k ) online.

  • Uses AAA batteries
  • Fast and easy temperature reading
  • Can read Forehead temp and Surface Temp ( up to 212 F)
  • Bright Color LCD – Shows temp warnings in Green, Yellow, and Red based on body temperature/
  • Has audible beeps for over temperature.
  • Memory function

CONS:

  • Temperature range limitations for Surface temp up to 32- 212 degrees F. If it can go higher and lower, then this can be useful to measure other objects.

Overall VICKS No Touch 3-in-1 Thermometer ( https://amzn.to/3o1UsqQ ) is a fast and easy to use thermometer for the house with many pros and very little cons. For cooking or hobby work, I would get a infrared laser thermometer ( https://amzn.to/311Qean ) with greater range.

This version now has hazard lights, LCD dispay with instructions, LCD flash light, and USB C input and outputs, USB A output, and USB micro input. You can charge faster with the USB C input faster. Unlike the prior years with Wireless QI charging, this one doesnt have this feature anymore which is fine as i never used it.

HOW TO SHORTEN and HEM PANTS with a Sewing Machine – Fast & Easy

I am going to show you how to shorten and hem pants with Singer sewing machine ( https://amzn.to/3C8Xjmw ). It is fast and simple to do. With the need to return to the office, I bought 9 pairs of new wrinkle free performance pants ( https://amzn.to/3HXnQqo ) , however they are too long for me. I needed to shorten and hem them but my local shop was closed.

In this video my Mom taught me how to shorten and hem pants in the fast and easy way using aThread Kit for Sewing ( https://amzn.to/3leLqoN ) and her Singer sewing machine ( https://amzn.to/3C8Xjmw ). It takes about 20 minutes per pair of pants to shorten. The first one took an hour learning.

We used a Singer 4322 Heavy Duty Sewing Machine ( https://amzn.to/3C8Xjmw ) is a gift to my mother as her 25 year old Singer Sewing machine failed after 25 years. She really liked the Singer Sewing machine simple knobs and included accessories. It was also powerful and went through heavy clothe like denim / jeans easily.

SHORTEN and HEM PANTS STEPS:

1. Wash before altering if cloth will shrink
2. Measure length 
3. Pin / mark measure cuff
4. Remove stitches 
5. Cut length with extra for cuff 
6. Cut side  extra fabric overlap hump 
7. Remove side stiches if tapered hem
8. Sew new cross stitch to prevent fraying fabric
9. Sew new straight line hem 
    10. Iron new crease

We finished all 9 pairs in about 3 hours and have a fun time learning and bonding!
