DIY | REVIEW: How to Install Digital TPMS Gauge and Sensors to my Honda! Accord and Clarity!

Quick DIY and Review video on installing a Digital Tire Pressure Monitoring System on my Honda Clarity and Accord. I bought one online ( https://amzn.to/2ncBVf6 ) for about $30 and it took longer to make this video than to install these Tire Pressure Monitoring System. This would be good for tow trailers or campers tires to quickly check tire pressure. My new 2018 Honda Clarity and 2007 Honda Accord does not have a TPMS system that tells tire pressure and temperature of the tires. My 2007 Accord simply didnt have TPMS . My 2018 Honda Clarity on checks tire rotation to determine if the diameter is smaller to indicate over or under inflation of the tires. I loved my Chevy Volt which has individual meters for each tire. Individual guage allowed me to monitor status and if I had a air leak. Good for finding a tire leak before a flat tire.

The kit is solar powered with a battery and a USB input for 5 volt power. This makes it convenient to be wire free when i put it on my dash. In order to keep the unit from flying off my dash board, I added Scotch double sided tape ( https://amzn.to/2pCOvFr ) on the bottom of the TPMS unit and added anti-slip shelving mat foam ( https://amzn.to/2nULpfs ) . You could have just used a cell phone anti-slip mat ( https://amzn.to/2n7sZre ) .

I charged the kit in a USB charger for 2 hours before installing kit. The kit was already calibrated for all four tires of the car: Front Right, Front Left, Rear Right, Rear Left. You just need add the locking nut onto the tire nipple, then add the sensor to the corresponding tire location. Use the provided mini spanner / wrench to tighten the nuts against the TPMS sensor. You are able to set the high and low pressure alarm and units settings such as PSI vs BAR or F vs C. In a few minutes the main controller receives tire data from the individual tires.

I tested the tire pressure against my digital tire pressure gauge (https://amzn.to/2naQQGH ) and fount it accurate.

Honda Tip: Open all windows with remote. Close all windows with Key! Honda Clarity

Hey guys i found this awesome feature with my 2018 Honda Clarity . You can open all windows with Honda key fob remote! This is great for airing out a hot car during the summer without having to turn On your car. Also you can close all the windows even with your car off, just by using your car key at the drivers side door.

Remote Window Roll Down:
To open all the windows, click on the “unlock” to unlock your car, then click and hold the “unlock” button and the all the windows will roll down. If you release the button it stops. This works on my 2018-2019 Honda Clarity. I believe it works on the Honda Accord.

To Close or Roll up all the windows:
Release car key out of the Key fob and stick it in the drivers side door key slot.
Turn counter clockwise twice and hold. All the windows will roll up. If its just a single open window it will roll up to close.

Pretty convenient if you dont want to turn ON the car to roll up the window.

DIY: 2016-2019 Honda Civic Sport (2.0L) Engine Air Filter Check / Replace.

DIY: 2016-2019 Honda Civic Engine Air Filter Check / Replace.

This is just a simple how to video on checking and replacing the engine air filter from a 2016-2019 Honda CIvic 2.0L non-turbo engine. It takes only a couple of minutes when doing your weekly or monthly under the hood check up on your car. It can save you time from waiting and money from labor costs. You will need a 2016-2019 Honda Civic (2.0L) air filter ( https://amzn.to/34gfar4 ).

Back story: I drive about 2,000 miles or more a month if I go on road trips. Soon Honda service reminder A01 (oil and filter change and tire rotation) will alert. That’s a good time to check the how dirty your air filter is. So to help others I made a DIY video on how to open and check the air box filter of the 2019 Honda Civic (2.0L). 🙂

The air box is on the driver side and is held by two metal clips and two slide in plastic tabs. With the car off, open the hood , unlock the two metal clips, and wiggle and slide the top cover of the air box towards the engine to unhook the two plastic tabs. The Honda Civic 2.0L engine air filter part is Part # 17220-5BA-A00 ( Amazon: https://amzn.to/34gfar4 ).

I cleaned up the air box and picked off some leaves and bugs and replaced the filter back into the box and reversed the process to close up air box.

I hope this vlog helpful. Stay tuned for more Vlogs and DIY about my 2018 Honda Clarity, 2017 Chevy Volt, and 2019 Honda Civic Sport.
