Costco! Type S – Solar Wireless Car Backup Cam! $124!!!

Costco has Type S Solar HD Wireless Car Backup Cam for $124! This is a good kit if you don’t want to splice wires and just want a plug and play solution.  There are other wireless backup cameras which use 12 volt power from a reverse light ( https://amzn.to/2OdiudB ), but this unit makes it even simpler for the DIYer!

The TypeS Solar Wireless Backup Cam uses solar to power the rear license plate camera! It has a battery and solar panel built in to the license plate!

The backup camera kit is activated by waving your hand at the monitor and by g-sensor (car movement) to wake up the camera.

ANKER CD Slot Cell Phone Holder – 6 MONTH REVIEW!!!

6 MONTH REVIEW UPDATE! Its starting not to hold as the Honda Civic CD player is probably stretched wider and not as tight as it was 6 months ago.

For about $9 on Amazon this Anker CD slot mount ( https://amzn.to/2NTIkUy ) for cellphones works well and holds larger cell phones in your CD slot. For my 2008 Honda Civic it puts it right in the center and the buttons for the audio is still accessible. The down side is that the inserts crushes the felt brushes of the cd player that keeps the dust out. I was afraid the fingers would damage my cd player but tried it out and my cd player works after removing the mount. I rarely use my cd player but always use my smart phone so I will keep it.

How to fix – 2006-2009 Honda Civic Window Binding (STUCK)!

How to fix 2006-2009 Honda Civic Windows that bind or gets stuck due to tight binding weather stripping. My 2008 Honda Civic Hybrid has over 185,000 miles in the 8 years of ownership. I basically do this process every 2 years or if its been really dusty.

1. Clean off window weather stripping with a clean rag.
2. Apply automotive weather stripping  Sil Glyde Silicone Lubricating Compound ( https://amzn.to/2uk5jjV ) on VERTICAL sections.
3. clean up excess grease.
4. Run the windows.
