REVIEW: Wireless Android Auto Adapter – Soo convenient! No more USB cable disconnects!!!

I got a Wireless Android Auto Adaptor ( https://amzn.to/3VaMlX7 ). I got one of the latest ones that had a replaceable USB cable ( https://amzn.to/3F6M2qP ) for my 2018 Honda Clarity and Civic. It works very well and simple to install. I have been using it for the past 2 weeks and it connects when i get in the car. This is my review.

The issue with my Honda Clarity and Android Auto was the cable connection has been dropping and disconnecting every time the cable gets loose. The USB jack on the car was getting loose every time my phone moved. I have been replacing USB C cables and it still gets loose. So I decided to get a Wireless Android Auto Adaptor ( https://amzn.to/3VaMlX7 ). I got one of the latest ones that had a replaceable USB cable ( https://amzn.to/3F6M2qP ) so in case i needed to use a longer cable to hide the unit i can.

Setup: Most of these Wireless Android Auto Adaptor ( https://amzn.to/3VaMlX7 ) need to have the firmware updated. Read the instructions and update before installing it on your car. For this one, the device name was ‘smartBox-xxxx’ I used Wifi Direct to connect and update the latest firmware. It took about 5 minutes to download and update the firmware.

When activating Android Auto at the first time you need to plug the adapter into vehicle USB port, turn on Bluetooth and WiFi, pair to Bluetooth. The initial pairing took about 1 minute. The adapter will then connect with the Wifi and Bluetooth every time time after the car and the adapter powers up. It automatically connect with Bluetooth within in about 10 – 15 seconds.

Overall this was a very useful and it solved the loose Android Auto USB cable jack problem. It did take about 20 – 30 minute install due to the hard to read instructions. I now love wireless android auto.

REVIEW: Cordless Polisher Buffer 20V

I like polishing and waxing my car before winter season. I got a cordless polisher ( https://amzn.to/3gjfsIB ) to quicky polish and buff the car with a polish compound ( https://amzn.to/3SbohRV ) then I use Ceramic hybrid spray ( https://amzn.to/3ETk426 ) to add water repelling properties to the paint. This whole process takes less than 1 hour to do even with a wash.

I normally fix any paint chips a day prior to washing, polishing, and waxing. The cordless polisher ( https://amzn.to/3gjfsIB ) i got had a 4 mah battery that is able to complete the care in one charge. Its more convenient than pulling out my corded polisher, especially for quick jobs like this one. Its also good if you are not close to an electrical outlet. I got about 2 hours of runtime on the battery while working on my car.

I use the included 6 inch buffer pad from the kit to apply the polish compound. Then used microfiber bonnets ( https://amzn.to/3VAcOOE ) to place over my buffing foam pad to buff off polish. Lastly, I used the Ceramic hybrid spray ( https://amzn.to/3ETk426 ) to finish and coat the polish. I know the spray ceramic lasts a few months long enough to do a full detail in a few months.
