Costco LIQUID I.V. – Hydration Multiplier Electrolyte Powder 30 Packets $28 – Review

I was searching for Gatorade powder but found this LIQUID I.V. – Hydration Multiplier Electrolyte Powder ( https://amzn.to/2Wc4rwj ) at Costco for 30 packets for $28. I thought it was a good deal to test the taste and put it in my backpack for after a hike, workout, or hydration after a flu or cold. There are lots of reviews of this online: https://amzn.to/2U3UnD7 .

The one sold at Costco is a Passion fruit flavor and the taste was pleasant and fruity with a little sour sweet and salt taste. Overall it tastes good for a electrolyte powder mix. Vitamin C, B3, B5, B6, and B12 are added . It claims to have three times the electrolyte mix.

Costco! Melora Manuka Honey – 500g – 10+ UMF – $31.99

Costco just restocked Melora New Zealand 10+ UMF Manuka honey on sale! The Melora Manuka Honey is 10+ UMF + (1.1 lb or 500g ) are all priced at $31.99! They are similarly priced at on Amazon ( https://amzn.to/2tgjLZj ) for Melora. I current eat about 1 to 3 jars of Manuka honey every year and found I prefer 10+ UMF honey more as it has a good balance of rich sweet flavor, aroma, and texture. I noticed that the higher the UMF the denser the honey and flavor. 10+ was a good balance.

I bought a lot of Manuka honey over the years, most have been from Costco and Amazon. I made a taste test video prior.

My first HydroFlask! – 20oz REI – Wonder Snow Cap (Limited Collection)

Yay! I got my first Hydro Flask! Its a limited edition Wonder Collection Wide-Mouth Vacuum water bottle. I got it as a surprise gift from a friend who saw how beat up my current insulated water bottle was. It looks like she got me a limited edition Snow Cap from REI! There are other Hydro Flask sold online: https://amzn.to/36bRnZh ranging from $27 – $44. However, I believe the Wonder Collection Snow Cap is specific to REI hence its priced very high online: https://amzn.to/30F0pgh. I personally love that it can be customized with different color caps, and anti-slip boots for these Hydro Flasks. So many antislip boot colors are available online as well as third party designs: https://amzn.to/2G9wxPJ . The Flex Cap is what i will be using as it should be leak proof and it comes in many colors for customization as well: https://amzn.to/2NM0KIH . I personally did not know there was such a large level of customizing Hyrdro Flask bottles.

Seeing so many competitors for this insulated beverage bottle space such as from Yeti, Pelican, ThermoFlask, and other $15-$25 dollar bottles online, the assumption is the cost of production or wholesale pricing for the bottle may be about under $10. Just a guess, I dont know. Seeing Costco can sell 2 ThermoFlasks for $22, it is probably under $10 dollars to produce. Last time Costco sold a Hydroflask bottle it was $29.

I can see why branding, company mission and customization of the bottles, and plays an important part to keep Hydroflask unique to the fans and consumers. According to their website they donate to support parks which is for a good cause. After trying this 20 oz Hydro Flask for a few days, I love the initial quality and style. I will make followup review after a few weeks of use. Probably by that time I would have customized my Hydro Flask as well.
