HOW TO: Using Pressure Washer PUMP PROTECTOR – Super Easy!

I bought new 1600 PSI electric pressure washer ( https://amzn.to/3KwNS54 ) for washing my cars or cleaning exteriors of the house. According to the manual, I need to use pressure washer pump protector ( https://amzn.to/35b3UkR ) after every use of the pressure washer to remove water, lubricate the seals, and keep the internal pump clean. I bought a can of STA-BIL pressure washer pump protector for my new pressure washer.

Why I bought it. STA-BIL pressure washer pump protector ( https://amzn.to/35b3UkR ) is very inexpensive insurance to keep my new pressure washer working. My dad’s pressure washer failed after 3 years in storage with the water and seals leaking. He never took care of his pressure washer other than putting back in the garage.

How to use pressure washer pump protector. STA-BIL pressure washer pump protector ( https://amzn.to/35b3UkR ) is very easy to use and only took a minute to do. It comes with a hose adaptor to fit in the garden hose connector. Just open the cap and push the button until the foam solution exits out the pressure washer output.

According to STA-BIL pressure washer pump protector ( https://amzn.to/35b3UkR ) product description it should have antifreeze, lubricants in the foam solution to prep the pressure washer for storage. If you only use your pressure washer 1- 3 times a year (like my dad) , this would help get prolong the life of the pump. We will see with my new 1600 PSI pressure washer ( https://amzn.to/3KwNS54 ).

REVIEW: Foam Cannon for Pressure Washers – Using REGULAR Car Wash Soap!

I bought new Foam Cannon ( https://amzn.to/3rAoQcE )for my pressure washer at home. This is a review after using it on multiple car washes.

Why I bought it. I have over 3 cars, I wash my cars every week or two. All at the same time. This Foam Cannon ( https://amzn.to/3rAoQcE ) makes soap foam using regular car wash soap shampoo. I am using Meguiars car wash and wax soap ( https://amzn.to/3Iv5mx2 ) as I have a jug of it in my garage. The results are pretty good. I will buy specific car foam cannon soap like Mr Pink ( https://amzn.to/3rKllQO ), after I run out of my wash and wax stock.

For Meguiars car wash and wax soap ( https://amzn.to/3Iv5mx2 ) I used 100 ml (or about 3.5 oz) of soap to 800 ML of water in the Foam Cannon ( https://amzn.to/3rAoQcE ) 1000ML bottle . This produced a good foam all over my Chevy Volt and Honda Clarity. It really allows the foam to lift the dirt from the paint so I can follow up with a wash mitt ( https://amzn.to/33GAPxm) and then rinse with my 1600 PSI pressure washer ( https://amzn.to/3KwNS54 )

I believe the having a 1600 PSI pressure washer ( https://amzn.to/3KwNS54 ) is perfect for washing many cars or cleaning exteriors of the house. With this foam cannon it makes washing multiple cars fun and faster to wash and clean.

Overall, I am glad Foam Cannon ( https://amzn.to/3rAoQcE ) works well with regular car was soap. There may be some experimenting with different brand of soap but it has been pretty reliable. My next purchase will be specific car foam cannon soap like Mr Pink ( https://amzn.to/3rKllQO )

HOW TO: Fix Broken Telephone RJ11 Connector – Using a Crimping Tool

Quick video on how to replace broken telephone RJ11 connector plugs. ( https://amzn.to/3zaQmAK ) . I use a RJ45 / RJ11 Crimpers ( https://amzn.to/3Huow5H ) to quickly cut and prep the wire and crimp the plug in about 20 seconds.

About a week ago, my Uniden Radar detector ( https://amzn.to/3HrCaGK ) power cord which uses a RJ11 connector broke off. I used Loctite FUN-TAK Mounting Putty ( https://amzn.to/3qnzy5N ) for temporary fixes for my plastic parts such as to hold connectors together, such as for my RJ11 connector with a missing tab. It held the connector in place for about 3 days without issue and was easy to remove.

Loctite FUN-TAK Mounting Putty ( https://amzn.to/3qnzy5N )

Its time to remove the temporary fix and replace the broken RJ11 telephone connector ( https://amzn.to/3zaQmAK ) for my radar detector.
My trusty crimp tool ( https://amzn.to/3Huow5H ) does both RJ45 / RJ11 connectors and i have been using it to fix network plugs as well.

For RJ11 jacks have 4 pin connectors and is pretty simple to figure out.
Just write down the order of the color cable or take a photo for reference.
I use the crimper tools sharp cutters to score the housing and cut the ends off for a straight even cut of the wires. It comes out aligned and ready. Just pull off the scored cable housing and sort the colored wires.

Slide the wires into the new connector plug and crimp using the crimping tool to seat all the wires. Overall it only takes about 20-30 seconds. The most important part is checking the wire color order. Lastly check the cable to make sure it works .Now my Uniden Radar detector ( https://amzn.to/3HrCaGK ) and it powers up!

Overall its good to know how to fix and replace broken RJ11 and RJ45 connectors for many applications for the home or car repair as many cables now use for data and power connections.
