Overall the Turtle Wax Hybrid Solutions Ceramic Spray Coating ( https://amzn.to/3CNtIzD ) performs very well. It starts losing it effectiveness after 6 months when using a single application. If I applied a second coat 24 hours later it should last longer than 6 months. I plan to use two coats next time.

The 16 oz bottle was enough for probably 5 applications, as I have applied single coats to 3 of my cars. To apply, I have to was the car, clay the paint to remove any bonded particles, polish the car, and finally apply the spray wax.

I use Meguiar’s Smooth Surface Clay Kit ( https://amzn.to/3BDtYzK ) for about 3 years now. I always use clay to remove stuck brake dust and particles before I polish ( https://amzn.to/3nMhSPG ) my cars for shine, and then apply Turtle Wax Hybrid Solutions Ceramic Spray Coating ( https://amzn.to/3CNtIzD ) on to microfiber cloth and wipe off any excess.

Every 6 months, I spend about 15 minutes to wash my car, 30 mins to clay, 30 – 60 minutes to polish, and 20 minutes use spray wax. The Turtle Wax Hybrid Solutions Ceramic Spray Coating ( https://amzn.to/3CNtIzD ) is very easy to apply and beats having to apply traditional wax and buffing.

REVIEW: Meguiar’s Smooth Surface CLAY KIT – 3 YEARS LATER…

I been using my Meguiar’s Smooth Surface Clay Kit ( https://amzn.to/3BDtYzK ) for about 3 years now. It came with three 80g bars of clay, a bottle of Meguiar’s Quik Detailer spray ( https://amzn.to/3CJv3XT) as lubricant for the clay, and a microfiber cloth. I am on my second bar.

I always use clay to remove stuck brake dust and particles before I use liquid Compound ( https://amzn.to/3nRSbNY ) (if needed), and Polish ( https://amzn.to/3nMhSPG ) my cars for shine, and then add a layer of protective wax ( https://amzn.to/3BE17er ) . I keep the foam pads with my liquid compound polish or wax. I normally clay, polish and wax my car by hand, but recently bought a 6 inch Dual Action Polisher ( https://amzn.to/3EfWFnR ) and love it!

I recently started using ceramic spray wax ( https://amzn.to/3BFoq7Y ) over Carnauba car wax as its much easier to apply and buff and holds for about 6-7 months. I can quickly clay and use ceramic wax to seal if the cars paint isn’t too dirty.

Meguiar’s Smooth Surface Clay Kit ( https://amzn.to/3BDtYzK ) clay is very good at picking up brake dust and tar off my paint. I normally wash and dry my car first. The clay will pickup lots of particles very quickly that washing your car will not remove.

I use the recommended Meguiar’s Quik Detailer spray ( https://amzn.to/3CJv3XT) as surface lubricant and guide the clay bar over the paint surface. It takes about 30 minutes to clay may car by hand. I clay and wax every 6 months or so, any longer and the particles would take longer to remove.

If you clay bar has dried up in storage, then use Meguiar’s Quik Detailer spray ( https://amzn.to/3CJv3XT) to revive the dry clay bar. Just put it in the plastic storage box, spray a bar and leave it in the box to absorb the liquid. It will hydrate and be pliable again.

My first bar lasted for about 1.5 years, and the only reason for replacing it was that it fell on the floor. I would not want to rub embedded sand and scratch my paint of my car. I am currently on my second bar and its starting to turn gray, from the original white putty color.

Overall I love using Meguiar’s Smooth Surface Clay ( https://amzn.to/3BDtYzK ) as it works really well and offers great value for the price.

REVIEW: Avid Power 6 inch Dual Action Polisher

I have been hand polishing and waxing my cars for years. I just bought a Avid Power 6 inch Dual Action Polisher ( https://amzn.to/3EfWFnR ) and love it!

Why I bought it. I like to detail , clay, compound, polish, and wax my cars. Doing one call will easily take me all day by hand. But with a DA polisher it cuts the time to a few hours.

Using a Dual Action buffer has the following advantages:
○ save time
○ consistent technique
○ random polish

Its also a good size for 90% of my car surface at a 6 -7 inch size. I have a 10 inch polisher which is good and 3-4 inch is too small. I also have those size pads if needed.

I only polish and wax about 3 times a year, in Fall (to put a layer of wax before the rain and wet weather and spring before the hot summer driving.. But since I do multiple cars at the same I wanted to invest in a good buffer. I did both my cars in about a little over half a day versus 2 days.

I always use Clay ( https://amzn.to/3nWdAFs )to remove stuck brake dust and particles , Compound ( https://amzn.to/3nRSbNY – if needed) Polish ( https://amzn.to/3nMhSPG )for shine, and wax ( https://amzn.to/3BE17er ) . I keep the foam pads with my liquid compound polish or wax. I recently started using ceramic spray wax ( https://amzn.to/3BFoq7Y ) over Carnuba car wax as its much easier to apply and buff and holds for about 6-7 months.

The 7 inch pads were just about right for most of the panels. For smaller details of my bumper roof pillars – I either did it by hand in linear motions or with a 3 inch foam pad and an speed drill attachment for the curvy small nooks. I used the pads for both cars and they held up. After ward washed them with hot water and dish soap, let them dry out before storing them. I typically use pads for about two seasons so these will last me

Overall the DA buffer polisher ( https://amzn.to/3EfWFnR ) works well and saved me a lot of time ( pretty much 50 % of my time compared to doing it by hand. ) it is just the right size pads I needed for my cars and offers a terrific value compared to compounding, polishing, and waxing by hand.
