HOW TO: Fix Broken Plastic Stuff Using J-B Weld

Plastic parts break all the time. I use J-B Weld steel reinforced epoxy ( https://amzn.to/2WuDmau ) to fix broken parts on my car , photo equipment, or vlogging gear. In this video I repair a broken plastic light ring mount that broke from the brass nut.

It is very versatile and can be used on metal and plastic. After it cures in 24 hours its much stronger than the original plastic.

Using J-B Weld ( https://amzn.to/2WuDmau ) is very easy:

  1. Just degrease all the parts with soap and water or denatured alcohol. 2. Use some disposable pieces of card board as a mixing surface, mixing stickj, and a flat edged for clean up or leveling.
  2. Put equal parts of the JB Weld Steel Reinforced Epoxy Resin and Hardener
  3. Mix both parts until uniform gray
  4. Apply to surface and clean up any run offs.
  5. Use the clean flat piece to give it a final level.
  6. Clean up and wash hands.
  7. Let cure for 24 hours.

Overall, J-B Weld ( https://amzn.to/2WuDmau ) is very useful for many house hold and professional repair work. I have it in my garage and tool box and go through a 10 oz tube in about a year if i have a lot of repairs. You want to keep the hardener and resin capped and in a cool storage to avoid drying out.

GUIDE: 4 Essential Home Vacuums – We used for YEARS!

If you were to get a vacuum for your home, then there are four essential vacuums for the life of home ownership. You basically need a floor vacuum, a carpet stain cleaner, wet / dry work shop vac, and a small detail vacuum for delicate portable work.

Indoor Floor Vacuum:
We owned our Dyson DC07 ( https://amzn.to/3sAQ7vo ) floor vacuum for over 18 years, bought new at $399 dollars in 2003. We use it to vacuum about 1300 square feet of carpet every weekend. It still sucks up half of the bagless HEPA filter container every weekend.

Carpet Spot Cleaner Vacuum:
We owned a Bissell Spot Clean Professional ( https://amzn.to/2RGxeJN ). This highly portable plugin carpet cleaner gives great results with its cleaning solution and by using Resolve Pet Expert ( https://amzn.to/2TkryFS ) and a kitchen scrub brush ( https://amzn.to/2TWNeYQ ) .

After using this Bissell Spot Clean Professional ( https://amzn.to/2RGxeJN ) for six years it has never let us down to quickly clean pet stains, food stains, and other stains off our white carpets and upholstery. The hose is still intact and the motors are fine. We clean the entire system after every use. Due to the compact size we bring it to detail our cars, but mostly to spot clean carpets after a party.

WET / DRY Vacuum:
We owned our Craftsman 2+ Gallon 1.5 HP Wet Dry Vac ( https://amzn.to/3g2Ur1A ) for over 20 years, bought new in 2000. My Dad used if for all the home improvement, home repair, and maintenance projects around the house. It is still the shop vac work horse for all our projects and repair.

Compact / Car Vacuum:
I needed a compact lightweight car vacuum to quickly clean my car on the weekend or for camping. I got a ThisWorx Car Vacuum ( https://amzn.to/3m7m6lZ ) to clean up sand, food, and dirt from the car. Its super convenient and comes with a HEPA filter. The lower power allows for delicate vacuuming.

When deep cleaning many cars or REALLY dirty mud and dirt, I prefer using my Craftsman 2+ Gallon 1.5 HP Wet Dry Shop Vac ( https://amzn.to/3g2Ur1A ). As it can vacuum heavy water and dirt much more effectively.

Stuff in this video:
Dyson DC07 floor vacuum ( https://amzn.to/3sAQ7vo )
Bissell Spot Clean Professional ( https://amzn.to/2RGxeJN )
Resolve Pet Expert ( https://amzn.to/2TkryFS )
Craftsman Wet Dry Vac 2.5 Gallon – https://amzn.to/3g2Ur1A
Craftsman Wet Dry Vac Accessory Kit – https://amzn.to/37Hak9B
Craftsman Wet Dry Vac Filter Bags (2 – 2.5 GAL) https://amzn.to/3k2eNJM
This Worx Car Vacuum ( https://amzn.to/3m7m6lZ )

Overall, these are the ESSENTIAL four vacuum every home needs, all of them have been extremely reliable heavy duty and useful.

REVIEW: VORNADO 560 Air Circulator Fan – 4 YEARS LATER…

I have owned my Vornado 560 ( https://amzn.to/2XMgi7h ) for over 4 years and Vornado 460 Air Circulator fans ( https://amzn.to/37YJWIg ) for over 3 years! I use at my home office while i work from home. Its more quieter than my air conditioner and pushes air for the whole room. It’s been a work horse all these years so it deserves a review.

Stuff in this video:
Vornado 460 Small room Air Circulator Fan: https://amzn.to/37YJWIg
Vornado 560 Medium room Air Circulator Fan https://amzn.to/2XMgi7h

When compared to my $50 Vornado 460 Air Circulator fans it also looks the same except its about half the size and have buttons rather than know to control its 4 fan speeds. The more expensive $100 Vornado 560 also blows air further than the Vornado 460 Air Circulator Fan: https://amzn.to/37YJWIg bought a year later. The Vornado 560 blows a stronger longer more focused tunnel of wind .

Overall, this is a great value and reliable room fan. I have cleaned it once every 1.5 years or so with a vacuum. You can actually take the fan shell to clean the fan. After 3 years of running the motor is still running strong. It can be directed straight up 90 degrees or at 0 degrees.
