With gas at $4.60, it pays to hyper mileage, carpool, and use public transportation. As I have wrote before i carpool with 3 other coworkers and drive about once a month. Well its been commuting and more commuting.  I have joined a carpool at my work place in Long Beach California.  After clocking about 450 miles a week, and using about 3 gallons of gas in one day, about 60 gallons of gas a month.

still on my hunt to solve my commute issue of using a lot of gas to go 5 miles. I played with a couple of Razor and Schwinn electric scooters this weekend. Battery powered and drive speed of under 20 mph it works but felt really slow. I am considering biking instead more later.

 I have been looking for an alternate method of making my commute from home to school and work. I work about 10 miles away and found that electric bikes or scooters may be an alternate to me driving my 3300 lb car that  gives me 20  miles per gallon.  With quick charge and all electric means it is a good solution.
