Well its been commuting and more commuting.  I have joined a carpool at my work place in Long Beach California.  After clocking about 450 miles a week, and using about 3 gallons of gas in one day, about 60 gallons of gas a month.

I still commute 35 miles one way with my car. However, I have thought about commuting by train to Long Beach with has got my interest in a compact bike to bring to work, school, and around town.  Here is the situation, parking in Long Beach is scarce, expensive, highly ticketed, and difficult to find. still on my hunt to solve my commute issue of using a lot of gas to go 5 miles. I played with a couple of Razor and Schwinn electric scooters this weekend. Battery powered and drive speed of under 20 mph it works but felt really slow. I am considering biking instead more later.
